someone made a mistake, you placed an order, knowing full well it was a mistake, and you're expecting some kind of compensation
Maybe hard to believe it but maybe, just maybe this is beyond getting the camera from Apple. Maybe this situation is the perfect vehicle to channel people's disgust regarding the way Apple has dealt with this situation.
However your mindset seems to be limited to the fact everyone is out there to just exploit and gain a profit, regardless of all the previous post of people expressing how they need a camera and how they are not really bothered whether they recieve the camera, just mess Apple about.
At the end of the day you seem to be concerned with the moral point of this. However the fact you are in this thread or even on this site or section of this forum means you are out to look for a bargain. Maybe you should question the moral grounds of yourself, before you start insulting and degrading others.0 -
a bargain is different from an attempt to get an item for a fraction of its actual worth....0

A fraction of it's actual worth? But that's the price that Apple offered it at!
And no, I didn't try to buy it - I went for the Nikon 5200, because I wanted a smaller camera. But Apple have still given me appalling customer service, see my previous posts on this thread. If a small independent pulled the stunts that Apple are trying, they's go out of business in no time, Apple are only attempting every trick in the book to squirm out of it because, due to the sheer size of their company, they believe that they can do what they like.I only exist in my own mind - if you can see, hear or read me, you are a product of my imagination.0 -

....
which was clearly a mistake which ppl were trying to take advantage of.
If a smaller company had made the same mistake, I probably wouldn't have been noticed, and probably wouldn't have been posted here and raped in the fashion that this one has0
