I hope they do, because I ordered one too (legitimately). However, they obviously never had enough (if any) to cover the mass order, and I really dont believe we have a case that could be won in the courts, and I suspect thats what it would take to get them to supply a similar camera.

It's no good getting high and mighty about the company lying and cheating customers (as some have done) when that isn't the case. They are just doing what any company would do in such circumstances, and no doubt their lawyers have told them they are on solid ground.

We don't know they have contacted lawyers, they are just no longer available. What we are trying to do now is make them available again.

They were available all day on the 29th on the education site. From 8am to 6pm.

They were still available on the 30th on the main site.

    but today they are unavailable.

Well, according to the lady I spoke to they are available, but not for £98.70. They will, apparently, be re-priced...

ahhhh, thats interesting, if that lady is right it would mean the email they sent saying they are no longer available is not correct.

I was one of the MSErs who ordered the pokemon gamecube from Virgin. They did cave in, but couldn't meet the huge demand. The result was that I had to purchase elsewhere (the exact same package) and then email a copy of my invoice to Virgin and they refunded the full amount of the difference to my credit card. I've already emailed Apple to suggest that this could be an option - but have only had the standard automated response.

I'm not hard done by. If I get the camera I do, and if I don't, I don't - as long as they refund my money. But like everyone else on the pokemon thread, when virgin caved in, as I was involved I sure as hell emailed and said to count me in. All I've done re. the Apple fiasco is email and suggest that I could source it elsewhere. You don't know if you don't ask though - do you:rolleyes:
