Just give it a go - the worse they can do is cancel it and give you your money back. I haven't seen any mention of NUS except on here - and it is open to teachers as well as students and they don't have NUS numbers. If they ask for proof just fax/email a copy of a document proving her status (acceptance letter/some sort of student ID card etc..).

Hi I study long distance in ulster, no NUS no. or card. I can prove I am uni though - hope it works

Ordered one I used my university email account, even though I'm there part time. 'Proper' photography is something I could get into I think. I think it is possible that it is the correct price, seeing as (from what I read on Steve's Digicams) it's a quirky standard & a couple of years old.

Steve's Digicams also had prices at the bottom. Interestingly, if you were to go by the US price ($600) then this isn't too unrealistic a price for Apple to be offering it at. If you were to look at the UK price though (£600 on Froogle and Kelkoo) then it is a serious discount!
