I''m not posting about it to cause trouble - just telling you what the site says about my order, for others information. I may get an email next week cancelling everything, anyway. I confirmed I was a student to Apple about 6 months ago when I ordered something else - had to scan my NUS card and email it in.

Well thank you but we don't want you to update us on your order without pasting the email from apple as this is exactely what you are causing -> (TROUBLE) for other who are waiting for there orders.

And BTW it's 'their orders' NOT 'there orders', so I can be as pedantic as you.

Also if you'd read my post correctly - it wasn't an email ,but my order status on the Apple site and I have no intention of showing that with all my relevant details on, unlike a previous poster - lol.

I wasn't being horrible to anyone and hasn't mentioned a specific person in my post. It is easy enough for me to put a post stating that I have just received my camera (on New Year's day when almost everyone is on holiday) and P**s off the thousands of other students who are still waiting to hear from apple. What sort of contribution would that post have to this forum apart from misleadng others. When only one or two posters drop these bombs whilst thousands are wondering about what is happening to their orders then one should really start questioning their motives and I think that I have all the right to do so.

well i am deffo getting something from them wheter it be a camera or not

If they wanbt to take my money to play with for a few days then i will demand something in return, as far as legalities go when a company takes money for an item they have agreed to sell it to you for that price and the contract is formed

If they say it is out of stock i will demand a camera of equal value or specification

Have you actually read the contract that was formed though (ie. the terms and conditions)? It clearly states that should they cancel our order their only legal liability to you is to refund your money. That is it - period. And by accepting these terms and conditions you (and I) accepted that clause.

so you dont think there is much chance of getting the camera ......well it was worth a try and grateful thanks to whover it was that originally posted it ...

i always thought it would be too good to be true ...

I agree with gizmo - ordinarily we would be glad of such protection BUT in this case 'cos it is a cheapie and the supplier is the loser suddenly it appears unfair!!
