Olympus E-1 Digital SLR - £98.70 (Apple Education Store) [CLOSED]

maybe apple are holding on to everyones 98.70 for as long as possible to cover any credit card transaction fees incurred? by gaining interest on our money?

Just Been to Dixons. E-300 Model is £399 including the same lens. Remeber E 300 has inbuilt flash while E 1 doesn't have and also E 1 is discontinued model. considering this £98.70 for E-1 doesn't seem to be highly mispriced , and this price is for students.!

thats fair enough, however have you seen the prices they are going for on e-bay ! ! !, hmmm unreal how so many people have got (or not as the case maybe) so many brand new olympus cameras for sale. Ahhhh that explains it, must all be unwanted xmas pressies, santa will have to try harder next year !

just check again if the cameras get dispatched by apple, there will be hundreds going for probably £70 lol

isn't the E-300 an 8MP camera? £399 seems a pretty good deal for that! had a quick google and also available elsewhere at that price - so yes you are right in comparison the E1 should be at least half that...

there were more yesterday, think some have taken them off as reality sets in lol

Although the E300 has more pixels and is newer it was designed for amatuer photographers. The E1 was designed for professional photographers. This is why the E1 does not have an inbulit flash - professionals tend to use their own which they have more control over and they also have a better range. Have a look at http://www.steves-digicams.com/ - It has very good reviews of both the E1 and the E300.

Just tried phoning apple to see if they were still open for business with it being new year and all - answerphone message said they open again on Tuesday, guess we won't hear anything new till then?

I thought we may have had a sneaky email last thing today refusing the sale of the camera. Then hopefully allowing everyone to cool off and avoid a major barrage of abuse instantly. If you see what i mean.
