According to the posts on this thread people contacting apple have been given very conflicting statements; some being told it will be despatched next week, others told we will receive cancellation emails; so I don't think actually we are being kept up to date. The issue is just getting more and more confused.

Then I wouldn't read them & just wait for them to contact you, but some people might like to hear the latest from the customer services.................

don't be rediculous, do you think they don't realise already? All i'm interested in is making sure they realise i'm a student and that I am actually interested in the camera and need it. The woman i spoke to didn't mention anything about a price increase to me and I haven't had an email. All I have been told is that they are ordering more and that they are hopeing to get them out before Jan 7th 2006.

I really don't think I'll actually get the 'latest' if I phone them- it really depends on who I speak to the answer I would get-but we'll have to agree to disagree on this one.

Thats basically what I was told. I was told that there had been a delay with them and they hope to ship them next week. I asked 'Would I definatley recieve the camera?' and she said yes.

That's exactly my point! You were told something different from other people so whats the point phoning!

I am phoning as an individual customer and not as a forum collective. I am simply updating you with what I have been told as to keep others upto-date with my status incase it helps shed light on their own. I would also think it benificial to assume that they will be treating us as individual customers, and not to reply on others to chase things up for you.

I've found it interesting to hear what people have been told by apple so thanks to everyone who has been calling and reporting back here. We're all out of pocket at least £98.70 now so it's not a bad idea to find out what's going on. Can't see it making things any worse at this point.
