Just off the phone to apple. The woman I spoke to said that there had been a slight delay with the camera and she said that it should ship some time next week. I was then told that I would recieve an email from them tonight or tomorrow informing me of what was happening. I then asked "Will I definatley recieve the camera?" and she told me that I would.
Still not totally convinced but it sounds a bit more promising.

If as expected we all get an email from Apple saying that our orders have been cancelled due to no stock of the E-1, then I will contact them & confirm that they have the Olympus E-300 in stock & is it ready to ship today, if as expected they say "Yes", then I will tell them seeing as I have already paid for the E-1 & they have already taken money from my credit card, I will pay the £50 difference (£599 E-1 & £649 E-300) & could they send me out the E-300 (£98.70 + £50.00 = £148.70, not bad for a 8 mega pixel camera which sells for £649)

Although I don't somehow think that they will be doing the maths like me.... :rolleyes:

Never ordered one of these cameras as I never logged into MSE until around 5pm and the camera post was made at midday. Really interested to see if you lot get one though, and i'll be gutted if you do!

This email that has been promised should be worth waiting for!

Thats good to hear, however i hope they dont send an email saying that they are now out of stock and will refund your money back into your bank account and then say that they will inform you when the item is back in stock because then you just know the price will have been increased when back in stock.
