I am a genuine student, and I bought her one because I knew she was looking for one and I dont have her contact details as I am at home as its the Xmas holidays.... so its easier to buy two, one for me and one for her, and if she doesnt want it I know at least another 20 students on my course that would want it for cost price.....

i am friends with lots of teachers,and they are always asking me too look out for a cheap camera to help them with there classes.

so ive maxed my visa out for them as i am such a nice chap!

Simply end the auction early stating that the item is no longer for sale. I am a genuine student and for all non-genuine students if you havent got proof when they ask they can take legal action against you. They do random requests for example when i purchased my Ipod via education store in September, last week, they sent an email saying to fax over a copy of my NUS card and University ID...

Well, I'm a genuine student. Have a copy of my uni ID card scanned in from when I got my ISIC a few weeks back

We have bought several items over the last few years via the Apple Education website. These have always been bought in my husband's name and using his CC information and we have never been questioned about student status. The items have all been purchased for our son who is at Uni, but as he has no money Dad has to purchase the items.

In the last two weeks his Apple Education account shows the purchase of a mac mini, iPod nano, wireless keyboard, mouse, freeview tv receiver. Now it's just waiting for an Olympus E-1 SLR digital camera to be shipped.

i'm not worried if Apple do ask for student ID as we will just produce our son's. I'm sure many parents have to purchase these goods for their poverty stricken student offspring.

Anyone else noticed that the E-1 has now been removed from the main Apple store as well as the educational one!

Slightly weakens some arguments unfortunately.
