well i just phoned apple education, and before i could finish my sentence to the person they said it was the wrong price, and that if you made an order , it will be cancelled.sorry guys, i was hoping for one too.

    AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

why are some people so inherently THICK

really, the idiocy of the average populace never ceases to amaze me :-(

    lets recap this phone call

Apple "You're through to Apple, how can I help?"
idiot, phoning as he's presumably too thick to click a button "Hi, yes, I WANT the cheap digital camera on your website"
    Apple "Which one's that sir?"
idiot "the one thats supposed to be £600, but is really £90"
Apple (slightly alarmed) "what's the URL sir"
idiot "well, the moneysaving website said.................."
Apple "ah, ok, let me check [is now alerted to the error, which would have been missed as stock and despatching is entirely automatic], thats an error sir, thanks for informing apple (hangs up)"

there you go, the actions of one person who's IQ is so low that he has to dig for it has now wrecked chances of even the early birds receiving their cameras

Still, i know you weren't the first to call, but the fact that you felt the compulsion to actually verbally communicate this obviousl misprice to an employee shows that you must be pretty dumb
    money saving my @rse.
I've spent 10x as much as I would if I had never discovered this website :-)

  • It does seem a bit silly to phone the store... most of these types of grabbit quick deals rely on the fact that most online stores are completely automated and so its a while before a real person gets involved and realises the price mistake.

Oh well - too late now.
Truly great madness can not be achieved without significant intelligence

ordered one too, not much hope of getting it but you never know.

seems likely noone will get one now someone has rang about it, why anyone in their right mind would do that though is totally beyond me! if someone hadnt have done it then we might have all had our cameras automatically despatched tomorrow as it says!

oh well you win some you lose some i suppose
  • Yeah thanks for that, really wish i had thought of phoning them, as using the web page is really difficult.
    Idiot
Watch out, you never know who is about.

    LOL

Havent really posted here --- but I reckon someone should post some rules to buying bargains that are mis-priced! ie Dont call em up to ask! I mean what are you expecting? a yes to something that's just been reduced by £500 tp £98!

Thanks all, great fun anyway! :)

Still, is your father your mother's brother perchance?

Tittle tattlers and peple who buy the whole stock - what a buncgh of an**ly retentive people - yes it was unlikely we would get the camera - thanks for taking the 1% chance that we had left

Bleugh, that's possible but I'd have thought it equally likely that their software (if not their despatch department!) would notice a huge spike in orders and would be alerted at that stage.

I remember the Kodak misprice fiasco four years ago - I got my first digital camera out of that, for £100 instead of £350, after quite a bit of hassle. Since then, sites have tightened things up a bit!
Time is an illusion - lunch time doubly so.

the best thing to do then is if you spot an absolute bargain in the future is too keep it to yourself until you actually receive your order.

then post it on here,as people phoneing about it,and ordering 500 items will just kill a good deal! lol
