The company took the site down, and then the MSE thread was deleted (don't know why, but I suspect the company may have complained).

I got the following email from the MSE forum manager saying :

"As far as i can tell, the end result was that it was a genuine mispricing and Sony are not honouring any orders. I believe the Board Guide closed it as that was perceived to be the final outcome"

They didnt cancel mine, so hopefully after emailing the company, they will shed some light on my order.

Probably not - the laptop company was much smaller - all us MSE-ers slowed their servers down to a snail's pace and it seems they had to take the whole website offline to stop us .

Apple are far better equiped to handle it....
