  • Waving KT - what a roller coaster you are on - I'd take some time off if you can to reorganise, regroup, revigourate and stuff like that - you sound like you need some time out.

Well done on the wee changes xx

    Morning KT

You are having some ups and downs aren't you? Poor old thing. A week off work sound like a good idea, give yourself some space and time to work out what needs to be done and what can go on the back burner for a while.

Hey everyone, It's wednesday and we know what that means...

    Weigh in day! (groan...)

I am another pound down now weighing in at 11stone 4 pounds. I am thinking of investing in some digital scales though cause the ones I have are a little difficult to read. I was debating with myself for about 5 mins on whether I was 11 stone 4 or 11 stone 3. I think for better results next week I'll report myself as 11 stone 4. *wink*

Best go get to work just now.

Smiles everyone, nothing bad will happen today.

yesterday was both the anniversary of me moving into my flat and 5 weeks since the rug was pulled from under me.

Where am I now? and how did I get here?

Since I moved into my flat my debt has very gradually increased, I am not much (any) further forward with the decorating but I am comfortable (in my mess) and happy there.

In the last 5 weeks my outlook on the world has changed a bit. I've had to rethink just about everything. I was stuck.

I have changed my hair. I have changed some of the items of my wardrobe that make it into the heavy rotation list. I have interviewed for a job I didn't get. I have seen my closest friends more often. I have listened to compliments and started to believe some of them. I have lost my phone and not panicked. I have had my OH see me perform in orchestra and then accidentally ask him to move in with me...

Has anything really changed? (other than my mobile number...)

    Nope.

My outlook is different but the outcome is the same.

I'm running out of options, tools, to help me break free.

The other big problem that has gotten me here? OH is stuck too. He's stuck with his job, his living arrangements, his lack of money and his dreams all just out of reach.

How do you shake up stuck??

  • Hi,
Hope you don't mind me barging in, I've been a lurker for a while and just joined the forums.
Just wanted to say after reading your last post, I totally know how you feel. I try and try and try to change things and then when you pause for a minute, it feels like nothing has changed at all. But, what I have found is, if you keep with the teeny changes, every now and again there is a day where you think "Oh, right, things are different". That probably doesn't help, but just wanted to say, its not just you who feels that way! Both my OH and me feel that a lot.
So keep at it! Things do become different eventually.

Have sent you a PM - Outlook directly affects outcome - so things should hopefully seem like they are shifting soon - you have achieved so much lately.

There are lots of positives in those statements up there I am sure I counted 10 positive things in all that you said.

Sounds like you are in a bit of a transient time - things WILL start to shift your outlook is positive - x

How do you shake up stuck??

Grab it by the balls and give it a good rattle until it wakes up and thinks OK time for action. :)

Then Lady KT - you form a cunning plan. Shouting your loudest barbaric YAWP from the top of the table if you have to and scare the blazes out of everyone (dead poet

PS forgot to say HI and hugs x

Piq be along in a mo with something wise and great x

Wish I did wise, it's not in my repetoire, I'm afraid.

What is the outcome that hasn't changed? What do you want to be different? If you change everything, you won't be you and that would be a great shame.

As Fay says there are many positive things that you have listed. You have done well in a very short time. My short term solution for you is to come back on here and talk to us, it may help you unravel the knots. Think of it as friend therapy!
