    Well everyone,
two days in a row! Go me!

Well, to update you a little more. I now have purple though my hair. It looks really good. I'm pleased. At last I am starting to let my personality out a little.

I am hoping to spend Sunday reading through all the 3 weeks worth of subscribed threads and re-initiating myself back into the fold.

Things with OH aren't much further forward. Well, they are and they aren't. I kind of accidentally (on purpose) asked him to move into my flat if we get through this intact!!! (I can't go advanced right now but insert screaming man here!)

I have had to ask my parents for a loan to pay for my course. I am being hassled for the money now...

Sofa is paid for using my interest free overdraft.

I am going to have to start selling things off now. I haven't done that yet. Oh, and starting to do overtime again when I can get it.

In short, my head is still a mess but I'm getting there...

luv you guys and miss you all.

    KT.

    Hi KT

Don't beat yourself up about the haircut, especially if the council tax paid for it - you needed a treat. Back to debt-busting now though missus! :rotfl:

Absoutely second this...we all deserve treats now and again....hair cuts are definately mine!

I don't think you can be disowned by virtual bridesmaids - or Mrs A will have to redo her numbers, her colours and think of the poor captain - he's even going to classes to learn to behave before the blessed event.

KT - Fay has spoken! I only have 6 months to go...there will be no disowning from me! So great to see you posting again, I've missed you

You won't have to have a haircut, pile it up with plenty of flowers woven through, you'll look a treat! I think we need to KT on the design for the wedding dress for Mrs A, keep her out of mischief!

Oooh Piq, that is just how I imagine Fay anyway with lots of flowers woven through her locks and a long floaty gown! We also now have gorgoeus purple streaks for KT - what a wonderful multi-cloured event it will be! Will you come complete with a riding crop? Though I must be careful what I say in case hamster reads this diary too...don't want to make him too hot under the collar!

    Love to KT xx

Thanks everyone, you're keeping me going.

I'm sat here wondering... "Will I ever get a job that I love? Would it be worth taking an enormous pay cut to make the leap? Am I crazy for even considering that in the current climate? Can I just wait it out a year or two? Should I go for the internal position at my work that would take me out of my department but possible trap me into a job that isn't my desiny that bit longer?"

    Answers on a postcard please...

Jobs are essential for money. So why not apply for the job internally and suck that and see for a while until the right job comes up for you.

Is it sensible to take a serious pay cut for the job of your dreams - if you can live - YES.

Money seems to me to be the trap - not the job or any job - jobs feed your need for money that's all. So if it were me - I wouldn't take my eye off the target (working in the field that you love) - but I would side step (apply for internal job) in the interim if it makes sense financially or to keep you more secure.

Then again - this is the girl who retrained and got into a lot of debt to do the job she wanted to do. I could have been an accountant (its what I trained in at uni) but I would die being inside all the time - you are only really around on this earth for such a short time - KT you deserve to do soemthing you love.

Someone told me once to get a plan - like this month, this year, 5 years. (think it was a timemanagement course at work).

Anyway my plan was to become able to work in any field that works with plants - doctor of flowers (sad i know) bit crazy but somehow or other I have done the degrees to get me to the msc that I did to get the work experience to get to where I am now.

You will get to where you want to be if you want it to happen xx

    Make a plan
    Be realistic
    Don't sell yourself short
    Believe in yourself
And if money is the issue then maximise the crapy job until you can happily walk away from it to the one you want to do.

Mind you I am hardly realistic about things - I have got into alot of debt because of my choices - but I am doing something I love.

Now I am doing what I love (and the wages suck) - I am doing loads of extra bits to make the longer term plan (my own house etc) whilst working in this low-paid but amazing field - the extra work is easier cos I love my real job - and I am happy to have sacrified the money angle of things to live and work in an area that I love.

But like I say I am utterly unrealistic - but I am living and working the life I want.

I embrace my poorness :) - It really is worth it xxx

Sorry ramble over. x had similar talk with OH at weekend - he's a 'there for the money' man and won't take on board that there is more to life.
