I have also become quite interested in all this credit crunch stuff but mainly because in a wierd way it motivates me to make more money just in case and to have my contingency plan in place. I am not worried for myself as i can turn my hand to many things and am a bit of an entraupernur, but do worry for my mum, so would like to know i can help her out just in case.
I do hate it though when work gets in the way of all my personal stuff! but sometimes we have to do the behind the scenes work in order to lay the foundations for the bigger or more important stuff.:j Live on £4500, £2531/£4500:T 101 in 1001 (52/101):j:beer::j

The uncertainty of jobs and money just now is the main reason my dream is also currently in the hold position. My job is secure just now so it makes no sense to leap into an uncertain, unstable place if I don't have to.
I'm lucky... kinda.:hello: - Proud to be dealing with my debts!:j DFW nerd No. 1011!

Absolutely! On the motivation to make more money and to have contingency plans, and all of that getting in the way of my own life! Yes to all of that, no to the worry and stress....2023: the year I get to buy a car0

            hello again everyone,
I have been calling around a little bit today. I called my factors to check what their stance is on my double glazing. Dark brown or black outside. check with planning people for anything else. (in other words they don't actually care much)
I also contacted them about the broken window at the front entrance of my flat. It's been broken since before Christmas and nobody had reported it... apathy at it's best. One of the flats from that front door is for sale. Would you buy a property that had a broken pane of safety glass at the front door?! It's crazy. Wouldn't even the cleaner that is on once a week think to report it? Or is that just not their job... I'm embarrassed by it and from now on figure that I'm going to have to just report everything from now on and not assume anyone else will.
Note to self: Report the dead bulb outside my front door.
I am limping today and I have absolutely no idea what is wrong with me. my right knee isn't sore as such, it's uncomfortable and if I try to put my weight on it, there is pain and it won't hold me. I'm not impressed.
I don't mind being at work just now, but I am in danger of skiving completely. I am taking things at far too leisurely a pace.
Back to work with me now then I guess

            oops...
this was not a good day to decide I didn't want what I had. Because my limp is stopping me walking too far I was restricted to the work vending machines.
I got a huge roll, crisps and a can of juice - £2.80
I need to stop bringing money to work me thinks...:hello: - Proud to be dealing with my debts!:j DFW nerd No. 1011!

Happens to most of us KT especially when we've done a meal to death and complete boredom sets in. I get stuck on the same sort of sandwich or salad and can't face it after a week exactly the same every day :rotfl:I've sometimes thought of doing a swap lunch with some of my colleagues as they seem to suffer the same way, but then I worry that they might not have washed their hands...Total debt at October 2008: £67,213.30

Ringing the changes is a good thing! Try varying the carbohydrate - even wheat can be sandwiches, rolls or pasta .... you could cook rice. Potatoes (steamed, or even cold roasties, slurp). There was a thread recently on OS about cheapest meals, and Tesco do really cheap barley, 500g for 33p or something - a portion works out about 5p!
Ring the changes on the flavourings too - mayo, pesto, tomatoey stuff, hot, spicy, niutty, soy. Um, I've run out 2023: the year I get to buy a car0 2023: the year I get to buy a car0
