Ohh I have to wear my glasses in the pool. I wouldn't find my way back to the changing rooms without them :rotfl:
I'm at that level too but I usually get there in end!
A bloke came into the steam room at the gym recently and almost sat on my knee though - very embarrassing and also rather amusing, just glad it wasn't the other way round.:D Mortgage OP 2026 £350/2000Mortgage OP 2025 £7700/7000Mortgage OP 2024 £7700/7000

Daphne, not sure why the run walk method was not advocated. However, there is a chap who says its the best way to run.....Quality is doing something right when no one is looking - Henry Ford

They were completely unprepared for me to start at work today so spent the majority of the day doing nothing-well, watching other people work.
At the end of the day, I was finally given a computer and the online training for me to start. It looks dead boring-but who ever said insurance was exciting?Empty pockets never held anyone back, only empty heads and empty hearts can do that -Peale0 -
the thing is that the RFL website, Runnersworld, jogscotland and any resource i've ever used, advocates walk/run... but it's some peoples opinion that running then walking is bad as it allows warmed up muscles to cool in between and are more liable to damage.....daphne_descends wrote: »Really? I didn't catch this. It baffles me - why ever not run/walk?
I used to go to spinning classes - that was my addiction before running. During a class you would go slow, stand, sit and go fast, adjust the resistance. So my spinning teacher (Harry, he was lovely!) told me to give running the same approach as that is the best way to build fitness.
Why was he wrong?
I'm just a seething mass of contradictions....(it's part of my charm!)0 -
