Last year was a much higher prize, much more to play for. Figured if I spent the bit extra we got much more prize money and it was stuff I would and have used over the year, I think the splurges were worth it. This time the shops are a lot I won't use (I mean who needs that many phones and unfortunately just took contracts out) and the incentive is much lower, I won't be buying unless I would have done anyway.
Got vacuuming done just on time, DS1 home, DP had fed him before they went. Got my parcels, 2 more Boots boxes, that makes 5 I haven't even opened to checkmust do that tonight.
One day I might be more organised...........

There was a possibility that I could get some work through DH's employer. I already do a it here and there but this was going to be more substantial...I ad visions of pound signs dancing in my head! I'm working on overpaying the mortgage so I thought this would be great and I could work from home.
Unfortunately his boss isn't keen..oh well, back to mystery shopping and other 'scraps' of money!!
Don't you just hate it when a plan doesn't come together....!0 -
Pigpen - hope you are feeling a bit better now?
Lil me - I know what you mean, I swapped card about 20 times till I got one I knew I could do but I still won't be buying anything 'extra' unlike the bulk buying dishwasher tablets etc last year. Simply not worth it for a share of £5.
I did shift all of the rubble sacks, and I emptied and dismantled the last bit of built in storage ready for DH to take down the last section of stud wall. Once the boys are in bed i will get back to sorting the junk room.'If you have a garden and a library, you have everything you need' Marcus Tullius Cicero0 -

Evening all
Hugs to the sick and down ones - you will all feel better soon, I'm sure!
Toots - yes, my job move is on last week's thread. I've been posted to another site for a while to help them out there. I'm having to get used to a new environment and a new journey!
Well, my strategy for getting to work earlier worked this morning - trouble is I got there so early, my door pass wouldn't let me in! Apparently, it will only open the door between 8am and 6pm. As I was there at 7.50, I had to hang around a bit. I've requested for it to be changed so hopefully, it will.
Am feeling less tired this evening. Finished my initial recommendations report on process and emailed it to my boss. He was so pleased with it, he said thankyou about 10 times and then immediately emailed it without change to The Boss requesting approval to implement. ~Phew~ I can now start playing with systems for a bit at my own pace to learn what they do and how they work.
Now to do some flying. I have already walked the dog (did that as soon as I got in using the psychology of keeping my coat on and going almost straight out again). I now need to:- Put BM on
- SORT OUT MY BEDROOM (it's a tip)
- Cook dinner
- Flop in front of TV
I am the leading lady in the movie of my life

Evening all -
Didn't get back again last night as I had a distraught daughter ... one of her gerbils (a beautiful silver grey one - the one which kept checking I wasn't edible) has shuffled off this mortal coil and TBH I was pooped at 10 (again) - half expecting blood test to show up mild anaemia at least. Anyhoo Gobie (for that was her name) is lying in state in a posh box in the shed awaiting burial (and away fron the cat). Part of life's rich tapestry...
A million things to say...SarahShattered wrote: » me, me, I did!!! HI TOOTS Lovely to have you back!!!!!SarahShattered wrote: »Lady-Liberty So sorry they're keeping you hanging on. I think sometimes they forget there's a person on the end of a diagnosis. Sleep well, and hopefully you'll get a call tomorrow. If you don't hear anything by midday call your doc, and start making a bit of a fuss!!! ((((hugs))))Craftyscholar wrote: »Very strange day.
Tooth extraction went fine. Mouth a bit sore as injection wore off. Did feel really tired in afternoon so had a sit down with feet up. Made tea - nearly finished it when I started to feel very odd - next thing I knew I was trying to work out why I was lying on the carpet..Craftyscholar wrote: »Phoned the dentist - apparently it is the same anesthetic they have been using for years which I must have had several times.
Did mention it to the Dr - he said unlikely to be local anesthetic but could have been a reaction to having the tooth out.
Also confirmed that I do have osteoporosis (probably only early stages) so home with more pills to take and app. for blood test:eek:
Looks as if that fall may have been a blessing in the long run.
 Hugs to you and take care..Flylady_Flower wrote: »Hugs honey, have had plenty of them and like you, will have plenty more - it's just the last straw syndrome - usually the reason I flare up at the kids coz I can't handle another thing)
...she must at least put her dirty clothes in the wash and not leave them on her bedroom floor, otherwise it will come to Monday and her games kit isn't clean. And it will be all her faultDont be silly! She wont budge on the matter. I personally think shes too ashamed to let the neighbours know our relationship has broke down...THATS why she wont have him home.
She is ashamed of him.... it comes across loud and clear... rest of the family all have well paid jobs, big houses, flash cars etc and are very middle class yet were up to our eyeballs
Either that or shes niavely hoping leaving us in the house together will force us to get back together........ when in likelihood will just lead to one of us being done for murder :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:cha97michelle wrote: »I forgot to mention to you lot yesterday, i was tidying up toys with DS1 last night, and he got my purse on the coffee table, and put it by the computer. Do you think the boy knows that is where it mostly gets used.Yes, as long as they don't match, it's a question of common sense really, the WINNING TEAM is the jumbled non peg obsessed, or TEAM PB, aka TEAM PEG BRITAIN.:rotfl:

Anyway despite utter exhaustion I have flown today - I did a wash load overnight and pegged it out before work so it's blown dry - and how - been a gale out there today and is ready to iron:D
Off I go - bet there has been another whole page while I have done this catch up post...
G&B good to hear littley's well and back at school - good grief I know someone who, if her daughter is 'ill' on a Weds keeps her off till the weekend - for sniffles and stuff...no work ethic being taught there than - and by the same token is driven to school when she could do with the exercise - she's bigger than ME! School will always phone if there's a concern...
Pigpen - get a grip hun! We need you too!Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily DickinsonJanice 1964-2016
