Laid in bed as slipped ever so slightly on the stairs and it's made my back go off on a spasmfest, luckily I'd just loaded WM, DW and TD so will have an hour if I can (DSs in bedrooms but not asleep yet, DP watching football) then sort those.
One day I might be more organised...........

Wow Nikki, even with all that, you seem to be doing a great job - I'm amazed at how you manage with everything you have going on. :T :T :T Must be all the cuddles and singing you're getting - great medicine that! ;):D

You really must go to the docs tho, didn't realise it was September you were diagnosed - thought for some reason you had another appointment to go - maybe I was thinking of the doctors? who knows with me eh!

Because you've had the diagnosis now though, can't he do a home visit? I know you find it hard to get out so am sure that if you ask they may be accommodating, you never know...

Take care honey, look after yourself x

Thanks Flower daisysmile.gifYou must be [strike]psycho[/strike] :p psychic or something cos I got a letter this morning from my doc saying that he'd like me to make an appointment and if I was unable to attend he'd happily visit me at home! Very surprised cos home visits are rare. I asked for one when my ME started as I was in so much pain and unable to get out of bed but he said he didnt do them.:confused:I don't need a home visit now (but it's nice to know I can have one if I need one) so I'm gonna make an appointment for tomorrow; I was planning to anyway ;).

Thanks for your help Pink Fairy thumbgrin.gifI got InterAction through the post today. :j I'll read it later tonight or tomorrow.

pigpen - I echo what others have said - from what I can see (read!) you're doing a great job. You've had loads to cope with lately and you're entitled to scream / cry / yell when you need to!

Hope you enjoy it. Lots of helpful info, people on the help lines are good too. Try to find local support group and find out what benefits you may get. DS has higher rate mobility DLA and blue badge, so if it's a good day, he can manage without his wheelchair around town. If doc suggests "treatments" read up about them and ask for more info, and only do what you want. There are no quick fixes (other than LP and not enough evidence for DS to want to spend that much cash!) and what works for one doesn't suit another. Don't be pressurised into doing too much! Slow and steady wins the race, as it were, but you may find physio helpful with the aches and pains.

I can't tell you whether you're good/ok/mediocre/bad parent. I don't know you or you children.... but I can tell you what comes through loud and clear from your posts... (which is the only way I can make any kind of judgement at all)... is that you really care about your brood, warts and all. You recognise they have faults, which not every parent does... but every parent should!

You are a bolshy mare in the best possible way ( I count myself as one, so it's a compliment) ... you don't suffer fools gladly and take very few prisoners. But everyone - even the very strongest among us has tough days/weeks. You've been through the wringer just recently. One of the things that really strikes me is that you're really tough on yourself.... you don't allow yourself to take a while to say "blimey that's been bl**dy horrible. I've been through it, and it'll take a while to re-adjust."

The stuff that goes on in your life would make a lesser woman crumble to dust. You having a wobble is hardly surprising. And, I think if you were to list everything that's happened the last month or so, you might review your desire for a dose of 'get a grip'.

As far as I'm concerned, 'get a grip' should be reserved for the days when we know that deep down nothing's that bad really. Not for those times when we'd have every right to be on our knees in a gibbering heap.

You need a good cry, and a good sleep, and you will be better tomorrow.... because you just will. Because life goes on, even when we don't want it to. You be good to you Mrs. You'll get no 'get a grip' from me.

Johanne, would she listen to you instead of DF? Maybe if you put it to her (speak to those welfare people first that Lil_me mentioned before so you have all your figures) she might understand more? may not work, but you never know...

She wouldnt listen to me if i told her the sky was blue...and the grass green ;) She hates me..... she says she doesnt .... but its damn obvious! If youve ever seen the film "Monster in law" thats us! :rotfl: :rotfl:

Im quite happy for him to stay and work at things, i think its perfectly salvagable and hes done 2 of the 3 things i asked him too, plus every relationship needs working at, for better and worse an all that. But hes insisting its best he goes :( BUT today he did something im so proud of him for ..........he finally spoke to the CCCS for debt conselling :D:D:D If nothing else least i know he's gonna be dealing with his financial issues - which can only be a good thing for him and sarah :)

SunnyGirl - Ooh thank you - your so kind!! :)

Sarah must be VERY tired... she was eating her tea of fish fingers and chips.. (bad mummy here :p ) and i went into the kitchen to get a drink... was gone 2 seconds and come back in to find her fast asleep sat in her highchair... face down in a fishfinger!:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

Lil-me - Thanks - that's way they pay me an obscene daily rate :D And that's also why my brain was full last night - so much information gathered in so short a time - it just had to be rationalised, analysed, morphed and reported on just to get it out of my head so I could move onwards... the washing machine scenario all over again :rotfl: I hope your back is becoming spasm free - I know how nasty that can be.

Frod - hugs on the X-Word play - I'm sure you'll get there... Can you sort of write one liners for 'scenes' so you know the direction it's going then slowly fill the one-liners in?
