MORNING!
Did lots of flying yesterday... living room is soooo much better as is the hall/landing! (and i realised once ExOH moves out my house will be soooo much tidier as the majority of the carp is his stuff he hasnt even unpacked yet from when he moved his stuff in! Not sure if its just laziness on his part or whether a cynical person would think he never had the intention to stay   )
Pigpen - DD is gorgeous!! Hope your not supersticious (sp?) though.. was always taught not to put umbrellas up in the house as it was bad luck and would make it rain!:rotfl:
G&B - glad littley is on the mend.
Re Santa..... exOH has told me his company are giving free passes to all the employees kids for the grotto. So probably take DD to that, even if she is too young to understand. Probably saved about £5 too!
Need to go post office today with ebay parcel but exOH said hes going later so i might get him to post it as i cant be bothered to trek all way there and back (2 miles) when i'll have to do it tomorrow too!
I was told this morning by my area manager im on the way to being one the top sales reps in my area! She just gave me more territory too... so i shall be stick thin soon and be almost working full time as an avon rep as shes give me sooo many houses to cover! lol
Anyway off to print my list..... tatty bye byes
ETA ..... lil_me i told exOH last night he needs to take more care of dudette or she should be rehomed.... and i'll be the one to arrange it.. he's spent the morning playing with her and is gonna sort the heat bulb later0 -

Just having a quick coffee to recover from this morning, and then I'll start flying - no, really, I will, honest;)
Hospital went okay - and they have decided there's no problem, and recall in three years. Fine by me.
kaat-lady - very true that the early church built their calendar around the pagan festivals in a deliberate attempt to replace their importance. That's one reason why I have no real problem with non-Christians having a mid-winter celebration, it's a tradition that goes back much further!
Orkney - I never had a problem with Santa - St Nicholas is worth remembering I reckon! In fact, in Canterbury, there is a 'true St Nicholas society', and he always arrives (I think in green robes) on 6th December.
We've always had stockings from Father Christmas, which are always small things, including an apple and an orange in the toe every year without fail. The children's stockings are felt, with a cross stitch band at the top, which I made for them - I think it was a Prima pattern originally. All the other presents are under the tree and from the giver. It's the last thing I do on Christmas Eve, put the presents under the tree, then I put the tree lights on very early on Christmas morning, so the children see it lit up with all the presents first thing when they come down - probably not still in the dark now they're all incredibly grown up 14,16,and 18 (yeah, right!). My favourite sound is the 'Oooh!' very early when a small one finds the stocking at the bottom of the bed - which hasn't happened for a few years, when Father Christmas left a note earlier in the week saying that he was running a bit late, and the stocking wouldn't be there until after 6.30, and downstairs...It is never too late to become what you were always intended to be0 -
