  • I'm in.

We've mostly had a very productive weekend, and the trip to sheffield for the light switch on was very enjoyable. Charlie loved seeing the reindeer, and donkeys and fireman Sam, less impressed by Santa and the peppa pig costume. We didn't stay for the actual light switch on, but enjoyed the time out we had. Needed to get home to feed the kids so it wasn't an expensive day out.

Anyway, other than that - cheers everyone for tips/advice for the potty training. I think i will try at xmas - he was quite good the other day when he did it, apart from refusing to do the deed on the potty or loo - the boy has good bladder control. I appreciate it is easier in the summer, but my reasoning is:
    • he is showing signs - i.e. tells me when he's done a no:2, will sit on the potty and seat, can pull own clothes on/off, knows how to wash hands properly.
    • i am off work till March
    • he will have 3 weeks off nursery for xmas so a bit less pressured to get him done by the next nursery day
    • latest research (according to HV) is that around 27 months is the best time to try
    • DH will be home for at least 2 of those weeks so plenty of help with DS2 so DS1 can have one-on-one attention
    • DS1 is more likely to do it for DH
If it doesn't work i am not too bothered, but it would be nice to not spend as much of our income on nappies. If he's not ready, i will not persevere - it is just something we thought might work IYSWIM.

Argh!!!!! Will you all stop posting while I'm off watching dvds....it makes it really hard to keep up!!!!!

I'm in! I'm loving my tidyesque house, think oh likes it too, he's a bit of tidy freak, but he work lots (more than me) and is tired when he gets home, so I've taking the mantle (and to say I'm a little untidy....well you get my drift, if you don't, ask JayJay).

Will post listy tomorrow, but my MACAW this week will be to have a through Pre Christmas declutter, coz I have a four day weekend(sweet), plus only 17 hours betwen now and said weekend, so I should be able to get some of those things I've been putting off done, will make a declutter list too, to help me keep track.

Right off to beddy-byes. Love to all!!!!

  • Am super fine ta - white Rioja has seen to that.

I'm a junior doctor (well, three years in). I work on Medical Admissions at the mo, in the valleys. And I love it :D

The cello is in fine form (he's called Cuthbert [don't ask]) although I fell asleep in rehearsal on Friday after Thursday night's shift. Didn't know you could fall asleep leaning on a cello whilst an orchestra play 633 squadron around you...

If I'm off tomorrow I'm gonna take myself off to see Quantum of Solace. Anybody seen it yet?
