AnWs Mum I was gonna watch AR anyway - I love it. My friend is going to take me to an auction...I used to have a stall on the Flea Market.

I haven't watched it properly for years but thought it might be worth watching for the look of horror/joy/bewilderment on the owners face. What a let down, oh well. An auction how exciting, bet they are a lot of fun. I would be terrified paying a fortune for something that is worth nothing, a fortune being anything over £20 :rotfl:

I am in again but probably wont get much done until after work finishes Wed.

Miss the end of last weeks thread as went away to southampton for the weekend shopping and catching up with friends who came over from Guernsey, so i hope all are well and ready for the week ahead.

Will try and catch up tomorrow night but listing may wait until then.
  • Thanks Valli...castle cake isn't a bad idea. Could make swiss rolls for towers. Don't think it'll look half as good as that one but I'm up for trying. Will let you know how I go on. Might start baking and freeze the cakes from tomorrow.

Just when I get this one out of the way I'll have to start planning for DD2's. She's 2 on 23 December. Probably put myself under too much pressure but my mum always made lovely cakes for us when we were kids so because I can I always feel I should too. SIL suggested last year that I buy a cake and ice it myself but that's just not an option! (I'm so stubborn)!

  • Evening all!

I'm in - again - although I may be on 8am-8pm shift tomorrow and definitely on midday to midnight shifts Tues and Weds.

That said, my flat is really beginning to show the difference of the last few weeks efforts so thank you very much to pigpen and everybody else. I may even be able to think about inviting people over one evening soon!

Have a good week all xx

Did you see the cigarette posters from Wills? I 'wombled' one and now I know it's worth £100-£200. Mine's a glamorous 1930s lady in a ball gown having a fag at night...I love it! My daughter's appalled because it is smoking related but it was a different world then...until tonight she didn't realise it was an advertising poster.

BTW I did not 'womble' it when it was new:rotfl:
