Not much flying done here yet but lots of work! I now have 40 emails in my inbox, and they all need actioning (this afternoon's plan). I usually try to keep it below 25 and everything else is filed, but have been so busy it was up to 200!! Also got called into a phone conference as some big changes at work, esp relating to my division but thankfully doesn't affect my job. I am guessing the office is a difficult place to be today, people not knowing if they will keep their jobs etc.
lunch eaten, DH's wool jumper washed, and a few other bits done. Will update my list later after some flying! My plan is to work til 3.30 or 4 and that'll be it for the day.
lil_me - seems like no time since you got sonic. big hug
valli - how awful. my mum had a hysterectomy at 38 if I remember correctly, I'm not looking forward to getting to that age myself!
Sarahs, ladyL and other poorlies - take care of yourselvesMum to gorgeous baby boy born Sept 2010:j0 -
I'm one of Santa's helpers! The children say what they'd like, I tell them that they may not get everything as I need to buy it for Santa to send. I also help out wrapping from time to time as he's very busy sorting presents for other children who maybe don't have parents to help.
Fed up of decluttering already :rotfl:Fluttering about an inch off the ground, I may fly properly one day and soar in the clouds!

I've had a word with Santa and he said he will be coming to our house just after it gets light. So if you wake up and it's still dark, he won't have been yet so you can go back to sleep for a bit.
(I've been using that one successfully for 22 years)
I wonder if I can make that one work this year?
"The Christmas Fairy" is here every other night ATM at 7.30pm, checking that DD has been good and in bed so she can report back to Santa, exceptions made for Brownies, Sundays (when DD's been out with Ex all day) and when its my fault she's up later;). She comes every night in December leading up to ChristmasCreeping back in for accountability after falling off the wagon in 2016.Need to get back to old style in modern ways, watching the pennies and getting stuff done!0 -
I am flying today ladies (and gents)... didnt think i would but im soooooooooooooooo cheesed off cleaning is my therapy....
Re: getting IDed - I got very upset other week when i tried to buy ciggies (not for me) and the woman IDed me. I had the buggy with me so in my head got all worked up thinking she thought i was a 17 year old teenage mum and so become a stuttering mess as i was very embarrassed and feeling very bad about myself. The week later they put lots of "Look 25 or under? Sorry we'll ask for ID" posters up all over the shop.. so i felt a bit better then since im only 23!
:rotfl:
Re washing knickers - YUP i do it too... no way will my unwashed bloomers been seen even by dustmen or landfill seagulls!
Lil_me... so sorry to hear about sonic.*big hugs* Im worried sick about Dudette exOH hasnt replaced her heat lamp after it blew couple of weeks ago, i got fed up and i bought one myself off ebay and got the wrong fitting doh!
So since then he keeps promising to get one but hes on nights and wont get to a pet shop but i dont know what one to get cos everytime ive tried its been "the wrong color/watt/general type.." according to him!!
I dont want her to die through HIS neglect so im trying to make sure she is warm enough using an electric radiator by the vivarium.. but each morning i kinda peer in to the tank and hope she moves...:o
I cant handle her or go in the tank either as since i got pregnant i didnt touch her due to risks and now she wont let me near her without snapping at me so all her care falls down to him (well its HIS dragon anyway!) but still id look after her if i could.

Cardiff, well done at looking so young!
Justamum well done on the bargains
poohbear pleased to hear the hols went well
Valli, yes Sonic was a hedgehog, african pygmy, that's why he was so expensive. I don't have the £150 spare at the mo to replace him which is what the kids will ask me to do. They wanted a new Grandad when he died too, so yes, sometimes does help with understanding, sometimes it just confuses them more, the 'nathan cat died got new one'.....
Kids will be told AFTER DS1s doctors appointment, the appointment will be bad enough without extra upset. Thanks for all the hugs, it is nice to know I am not the only softy when it comes to loosing animals. I am just thinking should I keep his cage.....wonder if DP would kick up a stink if I used it to do some short term fostering of the small animals, inspired by PF.....I can't take on dogs for them at the mo but they rescue all kinds. We've had him over a year, but not 2 years, he wasn't even 2 years old
Santa, yes, I felt it best to make my boys aware from a young age that Santa needs money sent by us to buy the presents he thinks they deserve, same with the ones from Grandparents. That way they don't go OTT with requests. I doubt they really understand what is said but is a good way to negotiate.
I think 'Doctors' might be getting a little close to home for me, sat with lunch and coffee, can see which way it's going.
HHC was sort of productive, flung loads of stuff out, emotions were elsewhere so that helps when flinging. One day I might be more organised...........

Ooo and re the Santa thing the Norad site is great! We watch it with the children until Santa gets to France and then they have to go to bed so that they're asleep by the time he gets hereFluttering about an inch off the ground, I may fly properly one day and soar in the clouds!

Valli - no, no, no, no, no! That's just what I had, after years of Pelvic Inflammatory Disease, endometriosis etc etc etc. They suggested a Mirena Coil, but neither I or DH liked that option, or a hysterectomy, but then suggested the EA as an half way. If it worked, great, if it didn't - then it might mean the big H. It does mean an anaesthetic, but I was back at work in three days! (I currently have a colleague off sick who had her op on 6th Oct - methinks there is a bit of lead swinging going on there). Seriously, I don't know what your situation is or what options would be appropriate and what suits one, may not suit another, but it worked for me and is the best thing I could have done - for me! Since she's intelligent I have the feeling this may be the last "santa exists" year
:o Especially as some little darling told her Santa doesn't exist last year  I swear that child (the little darling) would get a swift clip around the ear if he was mine :mad:
It's horrible when children are told "too young" that FC doesn't exist. It's the only reason I bother with Christmas - seeing the excitement on my childrens' faces. Luckily over here children tend to believe longer than they do "across" - probably because of the fairies over hereA lot of children still believe when they go up to year 7 - and get told during an RE lesson near to Christmas the he doesn't exist. My DD1 said at least one of her friends was surprised when she heard last year. My own DD1 stopped believing the Christmas before in year 6 - but she was very worried about telling me :rotfl:I think she thought I would be angry! I have sworn her to secrecy and told her she must keep the "lie" going with the younger two :rotfl:
