Kitchen is now as tidy as it can be, given the decorating scenario  . I went on to topcoat the last doors and drawer fronts and they are all now in the dining room with the door firmly shut - three curious semi-longhaired cats and a whole lot of wet paint - nuh uh!!!
I need caffeine..................
Have decided to abandon most of list until later, as the dry-but-probably-still-a-bit-delicate doors from yesterday are in the living room, making it really hard to vacuum (my excuse, and I'm sticking to it).
Monday Mayhem - Living Room, Hall and Stairs
Level 1
Vacuum through the living room
Level 2
[strike]Dusting, even if around everything [/strike]
Remove clutter making sure stairs especially are safe - Ha! The hall is one monumental trip hazard..........will stack pans back into empty pan cupboard carcase to reduce likelihood of breaking my ankle tripping over them AND a cat simultaneously.
Clean windows and all glass.. including the tv screen
Fill a box with clutter from around the room.. make everyone gather their own belongings and put them away.. whatever if left goes in the bin!
Extra Mission:
- [strike]Library - MUST take books back[/strike]Renewed on line in case I don't make it to town today.
- Sort out coats and bags and shoes
- Binbag dance.. Get a binbag.. fill it and bin it!!!
- Measure up and make pattern for cushion cover for kitchen chair.
- Get T Pins (mine seem to have disappeared into the black hole that periodically appears in my sewing room) and block hooded scarf for DS-D2's Xmas gift.
) and finally caved in and bought a bunny. He's gorgeous, and I bet when his time comes, she'll be more upset than the boys (can you guess who pets/feeds/waters/cleans out bunny?:D ).
I am going to change out of my painting gear now and have a look for my pins one more time (don't really want to go into town unless I absolutely HAVE to). But first.............COFFEE!!!!

I know what you mean lil_me - my hubby is the same - so black and white to them, sometimes I don't think men have emotions - except happy or miserable - no inbetween... hugs hon... How did you get on with your HHC and did it help?
(Sorry Tom, no offence ment - and bet you feel great about the age thing - unless you're only 16, in which case, naughty Tom!)
Valli, I busted up at your story, sorry, couldn't help it - have been there a few times myself - very embarrasing... like you say, laugh or cry - usually cry and then laugh once I'm home and safe... (after some more embarrased crying...:o )
Right, rug is soaking, so am going to finish the hall quickly and then watch H&A with my lunch... see you in about 30 mins...LBM April 2013 - £29,000.00Vanquis CC's PAID - Debenhams SC PAID - A+L OD PAID - Asda CC £783.75Barclaycard CC £1400.78 - BoS CC PAID - Freemans Cat PAIDF/D Loan & CC £1458.96 - Santander Loan PAID - Mum Loan PAIDRBS OD PAID - F/D OD £1026.52Weekly Grocery Challenge - £95.00 budget / spend £-0 -

I drove home sitting on a carrier bag - car seat covers cost £150+!
Reminds me of when I lost a baby at 11 weeks a few years ago. We were on a 200 odd mile journey and I couldn't even get out of the car to get my passport stamped at the border post. I was sitting on piles of folded towels to save the car seat :eek:0 -
No - I know - then I edited my post as I realised it looked bad. It's defo one of those 'if I didn't laugh I'd cry situations...'
Trouble is if I have to take time off work (at my time of life) or be limited in my movements IYSWIM something is going to have to be done...
Still (Pollyanna mode) at least I get to catch up with the thread and drink coffee.
:coffee: anyone?
:coffee::coffee::coffee:::coffee: there you go...
Joining you for coffee, Valli...........and sending you a big hug too.Obedient women are never remembered in History!

justamum...that's not good
*hugs*
Ok I think I might thin my ornaments from off the shelves in the lounge. Not quite sure what to do with them so I think I'll box them all for now to go into the basement until I get somewhere sorted to put them. I have a mantelpiece behind me in my study which is cluttered with bits as well so I'm tempted to put a spare bookcase I have up on that and put the ornaments there. There's always going to be lots of stuff in the study anyway so I think it should look alright. Least then the lounge might look less cluttered I hope!Fluttering about an inch off the ground, I may fly properly one day and soar in the clouds!

Lil_me - hugs for you and yours. Sorry to hear about SonicChristmasshopper wrote: »Justamum wuld you like a tip out of my "helping Santa" book?
When your DD catches you buying a present tell her you are getting it for Father Christmas because he is so busy he asked you to do some shopping for him. You don't know who he will give it to, but you expect it will be a good girl.
I've done something similar to this for DD - "santa" has bought her a pink DSlite (an accessories, & 2 games) but since I still need to get the money back of Ex I've told her that Santa has to buy "branded stuff" like Disney and DS's so I send him some money towards it, Daddy sends money towards it as well, and then Santa puts some money to it and does a humongous order for Argos so he can get them for all the little boys and girls who have asked for one.
But I've had to pay it all for the minute and Santa has asked me to look out for stuff for her as she's getting to that age where he starts to struggle with what to get her and put in her stocking
Since she's intelligent I have the feeling this may be the last "santa exists" year
:o Especially as some little darling told her Santa doesn't exist last year  I swear that child (the little darling) would get a swift clip around the ear if he was mine :mad:
I asked her last night what she wanted for Christmas if she could have anything at all in the world....her answer was a DS :rotfl::rotfl: When asked leading questions such as "is there anything else like a DVD, a CD, a toy, book anything like that?" her answer was "nope...just a DS, and the hamper off you....and whatever anyone else wants to buy me" :rotfl::rotfl:
Right, back to the uni work. :rolleyes:Creeping back in for accountability after falling off the wagon in 2016.Need to get back to old style in modern ways, watching the pennies and getting stuff done!0
