When your DD catches you buying a present tell her you are getting it for Father Christmas because he is so busy he asked you to do some shopping for him. You don't know who he will give it to, but you expect it will be a good girl.

My sister used to tell her kids that Santa bought his wrapping paper from ASDA just like she did! I have told the 'send it to Santa' one, too.Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily DickinsonJanice 1964-2016

Another tip out of my helping Santa book....
I've had a word with Santa and he said he will be coming to our house just after it gets light. So if you wake up and it's still dark, he won't have been yet so you can go back to sleep for a bit.
(I've been using that one successfully for 22 years)Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me. Fool me three times and I'll smash your face in.0 -
