    BAD MUMMY ALERT.....

I just tried to cut Sarahs fingernails as they are like mine and grow very fast... they were so long she scratched all her own face and given me lots of nasty stratches on my arms and boobies :o:o:o .....anyway i was cutting them with her baby clippers when she jerked away and i ended up cutting the tip of her little finger quite deep... :(:(:(:( It bled loads and she screamed... i feel sooo bad!!! Both of us were in tears. She is ok now but i feel sooooooooooooooooooooooooo guilty and it looks really sore. :(
Johanne, I find the baby nail scissors easier to get on with- just a thought.

Me - well not been too lazy. Stripped bed, and DH took sheets over to his work to wash, as our WM is broken. Made shortbread (delish), knitted more of DS's cardi (on the hood now), put clean sheets on our bed and DS's cotbed, made soup for tomorrow's lunch. Also had to clean up a bit more in kitchen as a bag of sugar 'leaked' all over cupboards/units/worksurfaces.

  • Johanne good luck babes, sorry it feels so difficult.
Ok, tough talk coming up, so if you don't want to read it, skip on to the next post now.....

You need to toughen up a bit chick. You're letting your exOH totally take the p!ss out of you and your situation. You've said "He can't move out, he can't get up to help he works shifts, he can't have the baby at night because he shouts," etc etc etc .... he CAN do all of those things.... you are enabling this situation you know honey, and only you can change it.

Valli's words are completely right, and all of our words to you are from the heart. I'm sorry if what I've said feels harsh, but this will just go on and on and on, unless you do something different.

My DH was a complete PITA until I changed the way I did things... ie, what I was prepared to put up with, or allow. It's not easy, but if I could get away with lying around doing stuff all, and not looking after the children while my OH did everything, I would!

That reminds me of the time my nephew, who was about 4 at the time, was playing crazy golf in Markeaton Park and he had a child size club - he took umbrage at the thought that everyone else was playing with larger clubs than his and decided to check that he had the same size club as everyone else. He shouted M-u-u-u-m I've got a big one, haven't I?..

    Valli's words are completely right,
Thanks for the endorsement Supergirl I felt harsh typing it - it's easy for us to see because we are outsiders looking in - and you are right too.

Johanne lots of us have been through this kind of carp, and have come out of it stronger - either in or out of a relationship. Personally I am much happier because when OH was here I felt like I was the rope in a tug of war...kids one side, him the other - so in no way a balanced relationship. And he had promised to support me when I went back to uni - well if it hadn't have been for my mum I could not have coped because he did so very little. In fact he had the car to go to work so I travelled by public transport inot uni - not easy - I had to leave at 7am to get there for 9am and he actually said that I let him have the car because it 'suited' me? Err I don't think so...mind you I phoned him at work once - he was home 15 minuted later 'checking' the wardobes... found nowt cos I'm a good girl:D
Don't feel guilty - that's where it gets us ...guilt we are working and leaving them with someone else. Guilt we are SAHM living off the state...we can lose every which way. Be strong and we are here for you when you want to vent, want some support or even advice.

Take care. Did you get a night out yet?

Ooh ZLS what HAVE you been saying about him?

 Me nothing honest lol, although my DD told the nice shop keeper that her daddy was a Wa*ker. Oops I think she over heard my conversation with my dad. :rotfl:

Honestly though I aint said owt bout him not to his face any ways. I think it was cause the solicitor polished the letter a bit too much and he did not like it.

I only went to the solicitor in the first place as my DD thinks he is coming to kill her and he wnt listen to me at all. You would think him being 43 he would be more mature, yet here's little old me at 24 thats the more mature
    .

Never mind let him spout off his hot air it dnt bother me at all.
