Toots *sniff* *sniff* That was so sweet of you! I'm all choked!!!

I haven't been overdoing it ... honest.... I've done some bits during the week, but DD1 and I did the kitchen and bathroom this morning before DH was up. ( I was quite happy to let him lie in, as neither of us drank last night, and we went to bed at 11.30pm - unusual in the extreme! So, it wasn't self inflicted tiredness IYKWIM)
DH has done all the vaccing upstairs this afternoon, DD2 & 3 have done their room... really well! And DH and I did the bedroom together while dinner was doing!

I changed my plan from late lunch to early tea cos I always forget that it's gymnastics for DD1 & 2 this evening, and they leave at 5.40. So chicken curry, keema peas and rice it was...yum!

Gotta do DD2's hair for gym, back in a bit

Johanne you are an amazing mother but little Sarah does have two parents and XOH should be taking more care of Sarah and although he is now X should stilltake care of you by giving you a break so that you can be the best mother possible for his little girl. He is still a selfish b*****d! Oh how I wish I could help you more.

EXMIL should also be taking some care of her beautiful little grand daughter.

there are some amazing products on the market to help with everyday living... i used to work in a little "disabililty" goods shop and remember being amazed at what you could buy!!

The serious side of me always thought theres some truly amazing goods must really help people live a more independant life...... but i have to admit in my first week i did get the giggles a little when i was stock taking and come across the "bottom wiper" contraption!! :o:o:o

but when it comes to bathing the little ones.....I would line them up on a wall and use the hose (apparantly this is not allowed)..

I am with you on that one - hate bathing the boys. I fail to see what the problem is with the hosepipe route? Perhaps not in Winter though.

DH has done the horrible grinding, the house is full of dust but the wall looks superb so I am happy. He has also done some repair plastering, knocked out the rest of the stud wall in our room and is now playing about with Polycell. Very impressed, he hasn't stopped since he got up. Just the small matter of the tidying up after which is my job......

toots several options, most disability needs stores keep them, I think that's what valli sent as that is what that shop is but the website won't work for me at the mo. There is a small company, I met the owner at an exhibition of disability services http://www.unplugz.com/ these are great! **edit** just got the page to work of the ones Valli suggested, I have used those, they are ok but I managed to snap quite a few and the 'unplugz' I found stronger.

ooh! I like these ones. What a lot of help, and it wasn't ever me who asked for help! Just an interloper! I like the fact that I could do all the plugs that I use regularly for not too much money.

    I have ordered a set!!

My father used to keep a stirup pump outside the back door to hose me and bro down before we were allowed in the house...( bit disgruntled that the goat kids could come in to be bottle fed but we had to get hosed down)

Taht is an amazing website. I don't know how I haven't seen it before. So many gadgets to make life easier, my hands are the worst bit of me this week. I am going to spend my care DLA there on some bits for me.

I just googled Disability Living Aids...

Maybe because I see marriage as an equal partnership and if something needs doing just get on with it.....I enjoy cooking and can create something out of nothing yet mrs oj limit is opening the packet.....but when it comes to bathing the little ones.....I would line them up on a wall and use the hose (apparantly this is not allowed)..
