digital camera help please

So can you access the camera via start, my computer ?

have you tried swapping the usb around ( putting the usb lead into a different usb slot?

So you don't have a drive called "Removable Media" appear when you plug the camera in?

answer to workboy,no i dont.
brummybloke yes i havetried that too,but my mouse and scanner are working from the same slot

Did you install the drivers via a CD Rom or was it just when the camera was plugged in the first time?

Don't plug the camera in for a bit.

If it was via CD, then can you go to control panel and add or remove programs and remove them.

If it was via the camera doing it with XP, then can you tell me what you get when you:

Start, My Computer (then on left) View system information, click Hardware tab, then Device Manager. Are there any yellow exclamation marks?

no there are no yellow ex marks
but right i have just been fiddling around and i changed the usb mode on my camera
it then reconised it,i have gone though the set up process again and it is now saying it will install the finepix viewer,i have already done this twice but it says it will uninstall the previous one,now what is happenig it is saying the RAW FILE CONVERTER has been installed,and is asking me to restart my compute which i will do now,i will let you know when it comes back on!!cross fingers!
