FSCS/Icesave claim nightmare!!

MONEY RECEIVED
I would like to say that my husband has now received his money in full from Icesave. He had less money in his account than I did. I have not received mine yet. Being a little cynical I believe they are dealing with the smaller claims first, so that they can accrue more interest on the larger sums of money. A similar situation has been experienced by a friend of ours also. What goes around - comes around
give lots and you will always recieve lots0 -
Received my first email on the 4/11 and my second email on the 11/11 when I went into my (2) accounts and did the necessary to transfer. The monies from both accounts were in my linked account this morning.

Compared to Kaupthing Edge, this appears to have been well organised - or perhaps I was just lucky. OH is still waiting for second email.
All I need now is my ISA certificate to park it somewhere else.0 -
The Telegraph article said:The FSCS added that the majority of those with fixed-term accounts had opted to move their money out of Icesave rather than waiting for their bonds to mature.0

The Telegraph article said:
Odd. They are not going to get those rates of interest anywhere else.
Cynical old me thinks they have said that purely to make the rest of us think twice about leaving them until maturity “You can please some of the people some of the time, all of the people some of the time, some of the people all of the time, but you can never please all of the people all of the time.”0 -

I apologise if the title was wrong but agree that most threads on this baord seem to disnintegrate into people arguing about how much interest etc they don't have when all I want is my original deposits back - 30k is a lot of money!
Totally agree with you ...
That NonGeo man is a complete ar**, he's got his money back but not content with that he has totally hijacked the other thread with his personal !!!!!ing that has nothing to do with the threads orginal post ....0 -
TUesday update - tried to iniaite today (after 3 phone calls telling me the 'system needs refreshing' and STILL can't iniaite claim after 4 days!!! I have phoned every day and no-one has thought to tell IT and now have been told they might not be able to do it today as they are busy and go home at 5pm. Give me strength - for a major IT exercise I cannot believe that they closed at the weekend and only work 9-5. I really lost my rag today big time. They have also locked me out of my other ID account so have to wait for the postal claim so its over £30k they have sitting there. I'm sure I'm not the only one being stuffed like this.0
