FSCS/Icesave claim nightmare!!

Got my second e mail account yesterday so excitedly went in to initiate my claim and nothing -told me to wait for my 2nd e mail! Phoned them "oh this is odd - we will refresh you acsount so you can do it tomorrow". Logged in again today - same thing! Phoned them again "oh this is odd - well its a new thing and I don't think it works properly at the weekend and we haven't got any IT people - try again tomorrow evening" GRRRRRR - what with this and the fact that it won't even let me in to my other ID (I opened another account using Ms instead of Mrs!) so I can't get my 30k - I could scream :mad:

    Sorry to hear of your troubles, but did this really need a brand new thread dedicated to it?

    Others are still waiting for their second emails (me included) and it is actually quite helpful to know if problems are being experienced. It sounds like the sort of thing that others might well come up against when they try to claim. Hopefully the OP will update us on what happens so that we can be forewarned if necessary. If people don't want to read the thread, they do not have to.

    not suggesting that OP shouldn't have posted the useful point, but putting on the end of one of the dozens of existing Icesave threads instead of starting a brand new would have meant that other useful threads wouldn't have got bumped further down the list and out of view... is all ;)

    KingL it now seems that their website has gone down so my warning was necessary and anyway why shouldn't I scream my frustration??? I've had a crap year and that was the last straw and I make no apologies!!!

    Once again, not suggesting you don't post, but adding to an existing thread would help to keep the forum more useable.
