FSCS/Icesave claim nightmare!!

Once again, not suggesting you don't post, but adding to an existing thread would help to keep the forum more useable.
..... in your opinion.
I personally disagree. In my opinion, adding a post to the existing 20+ page threads that have largely moved on to off-topic quips would be pointless and the point would be missed by the majority of readers who simply don't have time to wade through all the posts. By contrast, a new thread for a new problem (albeit still Icesave related) is likely to be seen my many more people. The only mistake the OP made was the generic thread title. Something specific like "New Icesave Problem: Website Not Allowing Claim Despite 2nd Email" would have been more informative and helped users browsing through topics (without having to wade through 20+ pages).0 -
Just think, if all Icesavers are also Moneysavers we are in for 230,000 new posts about Icesave/FSCS claims.:laugh:0

If you stopped flipping bickering with each other generally it might be easier to find all of the information relating to Icesave
FWIW I agree that this should/could have been added to an existing thread. The trouble is the existing threads just get bogged down with the same old bloody arguing that the real information (such as there is) gets hidden.
Can someone set up a "Icesave - somewhere to argue thread" that all the bickering posts could be split out into and leave the rest of us to deal with our stress without the stupidity?Piglet

I am not intending to offend but by adding your second paragraph are you not joining in the 'bickering' too?
Had you just posted the first bit your comment would 'stand' but by adding the second paragraph you were putting your side forward and partaking in the bickering.:D
FWIW as far as the starting a fresh thread argument goes I don't really care one way or another.0 -
Well to bring everyone back to the problem - the Icesave IT department closed over the weekend. THe system cannot cope with the claims being made and I cannot initiate my claim now until tomorrow - 4 days after having received the e mail. I apologise if the title was wrong but agree that most threads on this baord seem to disnintegrate into people arguing about how much interest etc they don't have when all I want is my original deposits back - 30k is a lot of money!0

Has anyone else other than you had this problem?“You can please some of the people some of the time, all of the people some of the time, some of the people all of the time, but you can never please all of the people all of the time.”0

What! Cannot cope with the laughably small number of claims that have been made in the last 10 days!
I think the problem may be with your account/computer. No one else seems to have had any trouble.0 -
