Running slow and no disk space! Help!

Okay, I've updated Malwarebytes and it's currently scanning...found 4 infections so far.
I clicked clean up disk or whatever it was and it gave some options to do with temp internet files so I've asked it to clean them up too.
I'll pop back in a bit when it's finished scanning and I've done another Hijackthis log.
Thanks for all your help

I've checked the recycle bin and there's nothing in there apart from a couple of photos, got rid of them now too. It's still doing the malwarebytes scan. AVG just picked up nothing but a few cookiesDFW Nerd no. 496 - Proud to be dealing with my debts!!0

Do the following.,..
1) Go to https://www.ccleaner.com, install and run CrapCleaner.
2) Go to My Computer. Right click on the c: drive and select properties. Under "General" tab, click on Disk Cleanup. Select All Users if it asks you. Once it's calculated the savings, click on "More Options" and then under System Restore, the "Cleanup" button. Click OK then OK again and it'll delete all but the last system restore point. I
I find that both the above usually get a couple of GB back.
Next, over to http://fileforum.betanews.com/detail/IObit_SmartDefrag/1162053666/1
download, install and run it. It'll take an age but it'll be a lot more responsive afterwards.0 -
Thanks Conor, gotta go out to DS's birthday party now, but will do it when I get back.
Here's the new malwarebytes log, any ideas?

You can use WinDirStat to see what is filling up your hard drive and deal with it accordingly. You need to clear a few GBs to get your laptop running smoothly.0

Thanks for the advice, but I don't know what to get rid of. I'm frightened of binning something that will have effect on the rest of the system.DFW Nerd no. 496 - Proud to be dealing with my debts!!0

Yeah, don't go deleting things willy nilly. CrapCleaner does a good job and won't wipe anything critical.0

The point of the program is to give a visual representation of what is on your laptop. If you are worried about knowing what to delete you can open the program, choose C: drive and then take a screenshot of the resulting HDD map.
You can then post it here or sent it to me via PM. I will tell you what you can transfer to CD/DVD/USB drive or just delete.
It is critical for the proper working of your laptop.
As suggested, try running CCleaner first.0 -
Open Windows Explorer (not Internet Explorer), and browse as follows:
My Computer > Local Disk (C:) > Windows
Now go to the Tools menu at the top > Folder Options > select the View tab > In the Advanced Settings box, look for the Hidden files and folders option, and choose Show hidden files and folders.
Scroll down a little further, and you'll see Hide protected operating system files - untick this. Press Apply and Ok.
Now that you've got the Windows folder selected in the left hand pane of Windows Explorer, you should see a lot of files and folders.
What you're looking for, are folders that begin with $ - these might be blue, but that just means they're compressed folders. Now left click to select the first folder that starts with $, and scroll down and find the last folder that starts with $ - while holding the Shift key on the keyboard, left click that last folder.
With any luck, all the folders that start with $ will be highlighted. While still holding down Shift, on the keyboard press Delete on the keyboard. It will ask if you're sure - we are, because these are just Windows Updates files that have been downloaded and installed and can SAFELY be deleted.
While still in the Windows folder, look for a folder called Temp. Go into that, and delete everything possible in there. If it says it's being used by another program, then best to leave it.
Now left click your Start menu button - usually at the top, it will have the username you're logged in to Windows as. So it might be Jo1972, or Joesph. Whatever, just remember the name.
Now left click Local Disk (C:) in the left hand side of Windows Explorer. Click the Documents and Settings folder. Now let's say the username you found on the menu was Jo1972 - then click on Jo1972, or whatever the name saw on the Start Menu was.
Mmm, lots of weird looking folders, eh?
The one you want, is called Local Settings, so click that, then find a folder called Temp in that. Again, delete everything possible in there.
Now run Disk Cleanup by going to the Start Menu > All Programs / Programs > Accessories > System Tools > Disk Cleanup.
Select the C: disk, and let it scan the disk to it's own content. In your case, I would tick EVERYTHING except Compress old files, unless you're very desperate!
Download and install CCleaner (link). Once installed, I'd personally just hit the Run Cleaner button on the bottom right, if I were you. But have a look, and make sure it's not going to delete anything to want to keep. The options are extensive.
Still in CCleaner, click the Registry button on the left. Click the Scan for issues button, and let it scan. When it's finished, click the Fix selected issues... button on the bottom left. It'll offer to backup changes to the registry to a file - I like to play it safe, so click Yes. Then click the Fix all selected issues button, and the job should be done.
Let me know how much free space you have left, at the end of all that - I hope it frees up at least 1gb.
