The Financial Times article has now been updated to specify 'tomorrow' (Thursday). It didn't mention which day in the original version.

It looks as though someone at Reuters may have seen it in the first edition of the FT late on Tuesday and assumed it meant Wednesday.

Well that suit I bought on Monday is going back! It's not even been unwrapped.

I reckon go into the store today when it'll be quiet as the grave, try everything on, make a note of the item # and then buy on t'interweb at midnight.

The best items to get would be items already on a deal as M&S will not be able to remove to promotion for just one day. So 3 for 2 socks become 3 for 2 + 20% off each item. Thats close to half price. There are plenty of other deals on as well that this offer will stack with. Choose wisely and things become very cheap.

Just been confirmed the sale is on Thursday and is on clothing and household, no mention of food.

Hi,
I called the big branch in Glasgow today and they confirmed it was a 20% off event day tomorrow, though he wouldn't confirm what it included just yet. He did say the launch and information will be soon and they will be open extended opening hours tomorrow!

M&S staff are able to get double discount with their discount cards, so that's a saving of 36%! They can also get these discounts until saturday but if the order is online then it will just be on thursday.
