I can cut my water bills by a whopping £12 pm. Thanks to a little known scheme called WATERWISE. So I have applied for it & written a letter of complaint & asking them to backdate my membership five years (hahaha), in effect a refund. I will let you know how that goes.
I pay more in standing charges, but I don't pay anything per unit. This is due to my low income, number of children & medical situation. Only a combination of two is necessary. PLEASE TELL ALL OTHER DFW WITH 3 OR MORE KIDS & TAX CREDITS!
I'm sorry to all those who suggested it but I have decided to keep the sky. We are on the basic package and I do count it as our entertainment, along with the weekend newspapers. I have put a date in my diary to reveiw after Christmas though.
I think if I try a bit harder ie shopping more carefully, I can cut out grocery bill. Does £12.50 per person per week sound reasonable? This works out at £216 per month.
I'm trying to lose weight with slimming world and get fit. I think I'm gonna need a wedding dress next year and I don't want to be stuck with an expensive "fat bird" dress :rotfl: .

  • Hi how about starting to get things for christmas now - for example in todays mail they have a free dvd with the paper - o.k I now it's not free but for very little cost you can pick things up like this. I've also got a thing where you can send off for a 3 pound cuddly penguin with the mail. I am not suggesting the mail or these offers in particular just that if you check the newspaper thread you may be able to pick up little bits and bobs to go towards christmas - mostly it seems to be dvd's or cd's but they also seem to have free posters etc depending on what the kids are in to.

    Hi

I just wanted to say well done on holding all of this together. I found it really hard when I had trouble and the medical profession seemed to be trying to make my life harder not easier so i can't imagine what its been like for you.

Well done and keep going you can do this and hopefully you will get a nice big refund from the water board

Hi Rugby mum, I just wanted to say how appalled I am at the docs...i have only just found out that my sister who is disabled (cerebal palsy) doesn't always get the treatment she needs.

In fact when she moved areas and changed docs the doc who saw her (and is currently stillher doc) said he didn't want her on his books as she would be a drain on resources.....
