Ha ha!!
Thought I'd give a quick update before I start work this morning - as predicted OH's Mom made me dinner last night... lasted the night on a pint of Shandy as well (OH brought) So a no spend night out... Then today I'm hoping for a NSD as lunch should be courtesy of work and dinner will be left over garlic bread (OH's Mom again!) and some chicken I have in the freezer.
Have remembered it's my Dad's birthday on 2nd Dec so I'm taking him and my Mom to comedy night on Sunday and cooking a roast dinner so that's going to take up a bit of money which I hadn't planned... but I think that work this weekend will cover that ok, and of course I'll make it a bargain roast
Feeling a bit funny this morning about the shootings in Mumbai, I know people over there and it just feels a bit close to home...
Anyhow hope everyone's having a good Money saving dayDebt Free since 2012Current Savings £1,400Current Mortgage £143,398.270 -

Ooo happy birthday!! You got anything nice planned? It's your day for everyone to treat you so take advantage
Just eating my free pizza lunch... brilliant, feeling very full and content now! Also, just send off a letter to barclaycard to try and claim back my PPI insurance from them... I don't know if I stand a chance, it's not an insurance I ever wanted and even when I was unemployed I didn't claim on it because I didn't know what it was!! So fingers crossed!!

You seem to be making some really good progress! I bet you are feeling far more in control than you were just a few days ago :TSuccessful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. (Maud Van de Venne)Life begins at the end of your comfort zone (Neale Donald Walsch)0

Loads more in control... I've got money in my account - but I know exactly what every penny is going towards whereas before I would just estimate badly and always end up treating myself and needing money at the end of the month!!
Just found out I'm working Friday Night but not Saturday... will just have to make sure that I don't get a taxi home Friday Night/Saturday Morning and hope it's a long shift!
My friend is now trying to persuade me to head out on Saturday saying that he'll lend me the money.... he can't grasp that I've got the money but that's not what I want to spend it towards.. It's all going towards getting me in the black.. I've compomised saying I'll head round to his beforehand.. (steal his beer) then go into town with them and immediately get the train home.. it's risky but I'm determined... think I'll turn those beers into Shandys as well as alcohol is very good at persuading me to go out and spend lots of money!!Debt Free since 2012Current Savings £1,400Current Mortgage £143,398.270 -

Okay I've posted lots today but one more won't hurt if it's a positive one right!!
Thanks to Hypno's challenge it made me think what I'd need to get to £8,000. Well about £666 a month... so I redid my monthly budget without the overdue bills and pay day loans I have left over... £600!!! Snowball says it'll take 5 months to clear my CC's if I put that £600 to paying them off each month (This will start January - May) That's pretty exciting.... now to make that extra £60 a month (To meet this challenge I will need to be living off my bar work money for food/entertainment as well!)Debt Free since 2012Current Savings £1,400Current Mortgage £143,398.270 -
Ok my update for today... managed a NSD yesterday - didn't even eat dinner after all that pizza for lunch I wasn't hungry.. ended up watching Girl Interrupted with a couple of my friends and her little girl, drinking tea and eating left over popcorn!! Nice evening and free!
Today I have sent a letter to bailiffs with cheque for £24.50 after the Bailiff finally texted me saying charges were for coming to remove goods. He only visited once and dropped something through my door so sent off some stuff stating could only charge £24.50 enclosing a cheque - and saying if cashed cheque will take as agreement that debt is settled.
There were no court charges that could of been added on to make the £169 charges as else shouldn't he have stated in his text? I've saved the texts to back me up anyhow!!
I was going to meet a friend tonight but she's cancelled, quite glad as I would of been tempted to buy something.. £2.21 to last me today.. woo can treat myself for lunch ha haNo I think I'll stick to the budget and enything left over can go to my payment a day!!
Working tonight and have arranged a free night on Saturday so hoping that Saturday is a NSD at least!! Sunday looking forward to my Dad's birthday so that'll be a little more but wages from Friday should cover that!!
Anyhow knowing me I'll probably check in again after lunch.. helps me get all my thoughts down and remind what I need to do!!
So I'm waiting for reply to Abbey about CC Charges
