you're right i'm sure the boards are much quieter, i wonder if it's cos they split the boards down, i know i don't go on the other DFW board and i always used to read the new posts and help where i could. I am also in a doldrums i think, maybe it's cos it's summer but i feel like i'm one step forwards two steps back.
You are doing well though, as Nat says what would it have been like if you'd not even started on the debt free track.

Thanks! I don't feel like I'm making progress at the moment but give a couple of months and it should all sort itself again... I'm definitely not being pro active enough with these debts still though.. why is it so much easier in the winter? You'd think there were more free things to do in the summer! Anyhow I'm staying in Birmingham this weekend, should work out cheap hopefully... I'm also thinking of getting back on drinking water when I'm out, I bet if I add up the amount I spend on wine these last months we're talking about £100! Anyhow onward... have done shopping today brought a chicken and salad and lunch for £8, this should now do me for dinners and lunch for the week... must not go back in Tesco's!!

Sorry I haven't been updating much - I'm on a bit of a downward spiral money wise and I know I need to get back into the right attitude but I don't seem to be able to keep it up!

I have started though... I didn't go on a holiday I'd prebooked saving me spending money (I know I can't believe I've gone back to booking holidays!) I've made a decision to stick in Birmingham and not head away at weekends. I've joined the Library and my friend brought me a DVD player and loads of DVD's for my birthday so will be entertaining myself with that. I'm working Festival in two weeks.

I know it's not enough and I've starting going out at weekends in Birmingham, though to be honest they've been cheap nights. I have £150 back on my Vanquis and £500 PDL's that I have just renewed at the cost of £75 a month because I can't afford to pay them back :(

welcome back, i remember my first steps on here and then disappearing for months only to come back with more debt, it happens to us all. But you've proven to yourself that you can do this so at least you know you can do it again and you'll have lots of support here.

Thanks - it's always nice to know I'm not alone - I have this extra debt now £500 Pay Day Loans and £150 on Vanquis Card - but if I try hard then I think I can still be out of debt by the year end.... I owe my parents £1524 and though I would ask if I could not pay them back a month so I can sort myself out they need that money so I have to pull myself out of this!

I'm back to being the no girl to everything except extra work!! :)
