It was a great trip to London - and nice and cheap as well!! Spent this weekend at my parents so that was a low spend as well - went to a friends and got take away so £8 was spent all weekend. Not bad really!! I have £70 still left for this month and get paid on the 22nd... really want to try and get my overdraft down at least by another £20... I'm going for 2 meals this week but going to try and make both of them Pizza Express as got given a £10 voucher from work and if we do buy one get one free and I drink water should cover them!! Then I have a date on Friday
but I'm thinking meal at my house nice and cheap as he's coming up from London to stay for the night... it's more like a 4th date but it's nothing special.
Got quite lonely this weekend got a bit down about everything again, so I NEED to keep myself busy... therefore I'm signing myself up to work for IOW Festival on the 12th -14th June should hopefully get over £100 for working that... then I'm also looking at doing litter collecting at the Greenman Festival which means I can get free entry to the festival.. so no money made but a free weekend!! Looking to see what else I can do to keep myself busy!!
Hope everyone is good - sorry I've been so busy at work haven't been on here too much. Think I've been avoiding it a little bit as well as I haven't been doing too great with money, have brought myself new clothes - being going out, enjoying myself... ok I'm sticking with my budget at the moment but I'm only one step away from spending to make myself happy which is how this whole debt thing happened.
So I'm back still in the same position as before - no worse and no better but determined to get that debt down more!!Debt Free since 2012Current Savings £1,400Current Mortgage £143,398.270 -
Any news on that job you went for a couple of weeks back?
The festivals thing sounds great - as you say, not much money to be made, but free entertainment and loads of fun! Excellent :TSuccessful women can still have their feet on the ground. No news on the job - so guessing that I didn't get it - didn't have an answer when I chased agency!!
I've worked festivals before and it's long hours and hard work, but I enjoy that kind of thing so I don't mind!!!Debt Free since 2012Current Savings £1,400Current Mortgage £143,398.270 -
sorry to hear the job may not be a goer that's a pain. good luck at the festivals - i'm too old for them lol but i'm sure you'll have loads of fun0

Yes - should be fun
I think I may have convinced my Portuguese friend to work with me as well (the friday date
) so that should make it even more fun!! I have realised that I have £50 still to come out of my account for my train pass so technically I only have £20 left - bad bad news!! However I've survived on less for more time before!! This means 100% have to stick to tap water tonight.. then tmw night I'm going to a La Roux Gig and should hopefully get £10 off my friend for the ticket I got her.. another night of tap water... I'm going to claim I'm just trying to stay off alcohol for a couple of weeks or something... then weekend... I think I'll stay in and cook Friday Night, then I have a concert Saturday Evening... after which I was meant to be meeting a friend for his birthday... think I'm going to have to cancel that and meet him for a walk or something on the Sunday instead!! This all technically means that all I'll be spending is the money for the food on Friday Night...
I think I need to keep this sort of spending up in June as well get me back in the right frame of mind... wouldn't have forgot that £50 2 months ago!!!!Debt Free since 2012Current Savings £1,400Current Mortgage £143,398.270 -
Oooo a date! How very exciting!
How do you find out about the festival work? I would love to do something like that through the summer on top of my normal job.Debt @ LBM 29/12/08 - £49044! Ok -got the £10 off friend... and spent it on a 3 course thai feast that I prepared last night for the date tonight! Including Thai Fish cakes for Starter, Thai Red Curry for Main, Mango Sorbet for pudding and Lychee Fruit Cocktails to drink.... all made from scratch
This means I still have £20 to last me until next Friday and have chicken meat left over (cooked a whole chicken for the curry) for sandwiches for the week!!
The festival work I'm doing is for Flair Event Staffing if you google them you'll find them.. also if you just want free passes for recycling just google it and you should come up with some sites. Can also go to Oxfam as they need volunteers as well!
Excited for tonight... roll on 4.30pmDebt Free since 2012Current Savings £1,400Current Mortgage £143,398.270 -

Well Date went well - was really nice to see him again - I actually met him in Croatia he's Portuguese so a bit of a holiday romance cliche... but still good. I think he's going to come cheese rolling with us next weekend as well so he must be interested still!!
Was really good with money as well - have spent hardly anything all weekend - stayed in as planned on Friday Night - then Nick Drake Tribute on Saturday Night - and staying in with just a friend coming around on Sunday. 4 days until pay day thankfully though! Checked my balance and there's about £20 left in there, but I have lunches and a few pound coins in my purse so going to try and stick to that.
In fact I might go back to the old days where I write my budget and daily spend on here. If I can see makes it a lot clearer whether I'm wasting money or not!
I have £3.34 in my purse and that's my budget for Mon- Thursday. I have sandwiches to bring from home so I think I can do it. Then going to get back on the NSD's as well!!
Hope everyone is going well - I have been reading your diaries but still need a lot more work on mine first!!Debt Free since 2012Current Savings £1,400Current Mortgage £143,398.270 -
You are doing really well - your whole mindset is completely different to when you first came on here. The progress is amazing!Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. (Maud Van de Venne)Life begins at the end of your comfort zone (Neale Donald Walsch)0
