  • Right - today I'm feeling a bit like I still need to try harder... the CC's just aren't coming down quick enough... I've been trying to motivate myself by looking at Street KA's and thinking that maybe I'll buy myself one once I'm out of debt... I would also be able to afford to learn to drive then!!

My OH has said that he will put me on his insurance to learn to drive so if I can afford my Permit then I could get lessons off him until I was out of debt and could afford to properly go for it!? Anyhow these are just thoughts to motivate me as can't afford a permit until I've paid off my CC's which won't be until the end of May... and will be even longer if I don't try harder!!

Wouldn't it just be great if I could just get my bank charges/PPI back and throw it at my bills!! I think that I should send off to Capital One asking for my charges back. That's a closed card so should be no problems with it... I'm waiting for Abbey to come back about the charges with them still!!

Feel like I've lost my motivation though... I'm sure I'll get it back I always do, just got to be good these next days and stick to the budget! Today is a NSD at least :)

  • Ugh British Gas have upped my DD to £50?? It was £8 before... well I'm like £100 in credit with them so I thought that would be ok!? How annoying that I'll have to speak to them later!! I'll have to give meter readings and sort it all out - it'll have to wait until I get home and can get all their details though :(

Why is there always something to phone up and sort out? Bad start to my day :(

I love a good plan - it may not work.... but I love a good plan!
  • Yes - I'm sure today will get better! It's going to be a NSD I've decided, I have lunch with me and am heading to the Gym after work. Having Sausage and Mash for dinner which is already in the house and then bath, book and bed!!

Have also decided with a friend to do race for life. I think this costs £10 to enter so that'll have to come out of my budget.. think I'll wait until a bit later on in the month to book it though, as this weekend I have Hen Party Friday Night. Have persuaded OH to cook as his parents are away though one of the nights and I'm going to meet up with another friend on Sunday to go for a jog so hopefully all that will be spent will be the money for Hen Party!!

Money seems to go so quick... really regretting going out last weekend now, but what is done is done and I think I'm going to enjoy a good few weekends in for the rest of the month!! Also OH wants to put more money into his savings this month so we've decided it's going to be a stingy month :)

I've signed up for a few challenges that are going to stretch me as well.... make £10 a day and 12 NSD. I think this is definitely the month to push ourselves.. we've had treats over Xmas/New Year and now we need to start making ground again!!

  • I haven't entered any NSD challenges, but I'm definitely going to in Feb. By the end of the day we will have bulk bought most things for Feb, so no little spending every day - and it does add up!
    Debt @ LBM 29/12/08 - £49044! Now £44684.
    Fat loss 29/85lbs // £100 into £10k £243.07/£10k
    HSBC Loan 9658 // HSBC CC 3484 // HSBC CC 1464 // DP's 779 // Car 0% 4851 // Halifax OD 1348 // HSBC OD 1.5k // HSBC OD 1k // Barclays OD 400 // IOMOM 4400 // S Loan 15k // Cap1 £800
  • Yes definitely a good challenge! Hard work sometimes but it can stop you spending that 50p here and there that you don't need too!!

Am feeling really hungry today - have already eaten lunch and only have flapjack left to eat :(

Just tried to sign up for Bingo - but work blocked, scratchcards - blocked, Qype - blocked :(

Doesn't seem like anything I can do in my lunch - pain :(

I got offered work Friday Night but not Saturday Night so I've taken it! Feel really bad as there's only 3 of us going Hen Party and now I'm leaving at 9.30, but I'll be there from about 1 in the afternoon so that's got to be the main thing right?

Think my old bailiff is phoning me as well... don't know why and know I should just phone back but I paid off back at the end of November and haven't heard anything from them since!? I just don't feel like I've got the strength for another argument with them!?

Today is pretty rubbish - but hey it can still get better! :o

Oh hun - not a great day - especially the running out of things to eat at work bit!! ;O)

All the cr*ppy things seem to come along at once - at least when they-re out the way things can only get better!

  • Thanks - it will get better I think it's just the Bailiffs thing that's really got me down. Not sure why he's phoning and I just don't want to speak to them ever again!! I just know it's going to be some arguments that I hadn't paid enough of their ridiculous charges or something!! I should of got it in writing that the amount was all paid so that's my stupid fault!!

Ok - well at least everything else is under control for the moment!! British Gas is probably my fault as well - I don't bother reading their letters they send and they probably told me about the increase at some point!?

Oh well onwards and upwards or downwards if we're discussing the debt... I'm working this weekend at least :) That's probably going to be £30/£40 to my Feb £10 a Day target!!

    Thanks!

have you tried phoning BG they like all the energy providers are real bu99ers about their direct debit policies. I seem to have a run in most quarters and have to 'sort' them out.
well done for making the tough decision of working when you should be on a hen night, but i'm sure the hen will understand. I more than understood when one of my party could only come to the early part and couldn't afford the rest of the evening.
