Good one! I refuse to buy battery eggs as well, I don't understand how anyone could. I would rather cut back elsewhere.

My Sister has some rescue battery hens in her garden (she grows all her own veg and things as well!) and the state they were in when they arrived was awful!! I mean I don't really like chickens, but I don't want anything to suffer either!!Debt Free since 2012Current Savings £1,400Current Mortgage £143,398.270 -
Hi Elizabeth, sorry i haven't been in touch lately - been busy with a poorly baby teething rather badly.
You sound so positive in your posts and are really getting the hang of the debt busting and money saving, well done... i am trying but doin rather pants at the moment. I am pleased your chat with the other half went well, thats good.
I bought a slow cooker the other day, not used it yet. Just wondering how you made the curry in it?0 -
Hey - Hope your little one gets well soon... I can imagine how tiring that is!
The curry is really simple - just put cubed meat/potatoes (any leftovers you got), 1 large onion, tablespoon curry powder, 2 cloves crushed garlic, 1 chilli (Or just a teaspoon of crushed chillis) tin of chopped tomatoes and half a tin of water. Then I put it on for about 9/10 hours on auto... but you can change the amounts etc to how you like it, add spinach, cream etc last minute!!
The easiest thing to do in the slow cooker is just a simple stew, get any root veggies and onion, any meat (Put meat on top) Can be chicken drumsticks or anything and then just water and an oxo cube..

Well I've been sneakly reading the forum today instead of working tut tut! But felt a bit motivated... so I've done my PAD.. just a £1 to MBMA, but £1 more towards debt rather then drink tonight!! Ha ha! I'm pretty sure I can handle the [STRIKE]£30[/STRIKE] £29 challenge tonight... Meal £8, Wine is £10 a bottle so will go halves with someone on that = £5, Club Entry £2, Taxi £5 (sharing with 2 others!)... leaving me £9 to spend on drink in the club.. drinks are only £1.50, so here's to spending less and having another PAD tmw
