I've just got back from school and got a letter from the school to say one of the pupils has been confirmed as having swine flu. One of my son's friends has Cystic Fibrosis and is going to be off school now as if he caught it he could be seriously ill. Fingers crossed we're all ok x

Oh no :( Thats awful. I hope you and yours are all safe from it :( and I hope your sons friend is ok. xx

Am I right in thinking if you have a medical condition then you can be seriously ill with it?

Just wanted to say a huge thankyou for all the comments on my card that I made, I am not happy with the colouring as it is on embossed card so didn't colour properly!! ...

Also a big thankyou for all the comments on maddison :) I am soooo proud of her, we had the afternoon off which I probably shouldn't have done but she is in a foul mood and with DS home they just wind each other up even more ... the carpet on the naughty step has been well worn this afternoon!!

Also I wanted to post a picture of this ...

This arrived this morning in the post, I didn't want to post it until I had the ok from the lovely Furry.
She made this beautiful card for me as a thankyou for something I did for her. It is absolutely beautiful and I love it! Thankyou furry xx

Myzdamena - I've got loads of stuff that I wish I'd never bought and I probably wont use I ended up giving a lot of it away. If you did a car boot or something you could always bag up "how to make your own card kits" and bung a load of items in there. Sometimes if I get a mental block I end up just colouring in my stamped images to save for when my mojo returns.

Rainmac - crikey more swine flu - there's not been anything up here yet.

Furry - lovely unicorn card - I love the glittering.

rainmac I hope you and your family will be OK

rusty I can get really bad tempered when I get hungry (but only with OH!) - I'm sure my blood sugar level drops (or something!!). I also go lightheaded and shaky - I'm sure I told the consultant at the hospital that ds2 was shortsighted when he is long sighted! my brain just goes to mush (even more than usual)

can you believe it - have just placed an order with pizza express. 2 minutes later they ring back to say they have no pizza boxes:mad: so we decided to order from pizza hut and found a code to use for 50% off. great...only there was nowhere to enter the code and before you know it the order has been confirmed:mad: so unless OH can talk them into using the code when he pays it is going to be an expensive tea:mad:
saving for ds2's summer international scout camp - £200
    £60 deposit paid :j £100 paid:j £40 paid:j

postage is 2.50 up to a 20 quid spend. They sell some nice flowers there too.
I know what you mean its going to be hard looking after the newborn and then my other two as well - they can be quite demanding! I think my m-i-l will help me out and take them off my hands for a few hours now and then though, (fingers crossed).

Myzdamena - I always get mental block when it comes to my card making and scrapbooking - I think it happens to everyone.

Thanks Melissa - I ordered the scallop dot one in the end (and the small scallop circle nesties...) from an ebay seller - so the punch came in at £13.99 with free p&p. BTW, I gave myzdamena the same advice via her blog - a bit of colouring in can solve many a problem!
Furry - I love the unicorn card, especially the glittery hooves. :)

Here is my entry for the Christmas card challenge:

I'm quite happy with this one, even if the silver fibres do look a little messy.

Not allowed!!! She can make her own mystery card though ;)

She didn't do any crafting at all, Mum & Dad came early and "spoilt everything" (her words) ended up having a massive tantrum at the bottom of the garden. I think she has scared the horses they are usually hanging their heads over the wall and they have now gone right to the other side of the paddock. Then she came in had a huge dinner, followed by Ice cream and cherries behaving as if nothing had happened!! Little monkey..

Has anyone done their mystery card yet, I admit to struggling with this one. If they are going to post pals I dont know whether to make a childrens card, what age, male or female and if to put a verse inside or leave it blank or even a funny poem
