mumhug I hope your daughter is OK and only has the mild symptoms that most people seem to have.

choccy hope your son manages to escape catching the flu

rusty I ordered the magnolia summer stamped images yesterday - you are such a bad influence:rotfl:

I really want to make some cards but I can't get past all the kitchen stuff to get to my stash :(

Don't blame me :rotfl: Why do I always get the blame? you should be blaming choccy ... she set me off!! ...

When will they have the kitchen finished? bet it will look lovely when it is all done :) ... how is Oliver?

:eek:Hi all my daughter can join the ill club she has just been diagnosed with swine flu:eek::eek: I am just trying to get some more info on what to do about the rest of us. She has been given the tami-flu drugs but obviously I have a little one (3 )so am a bit cncered about him. Also I fall into the high risk category. A bit of a nightmare all in all.

Good Morning Mumhug, hope your daughter is feeling a bit better today and no one else in the family has caught it?

I work in a Dr's surgery and the latest info we have is as follows: (although every surgery may be working to different legislation)

As from the 3rd July, we will no longer be giving Tamiflu to healthy contacts. If someone has been in contact with anyone who has been diagnosed with swine flu and they then go on to develop symptoms within 3-10 days of being in contact with the diagnosed person, then they should ring their GP for advice, but most importantly stay at home.

There's also a check list available on here:

    http://www.nhs.uk/Conditions/Pandemic-flu/Pages/Symptoms.aspx

    Hope this helps.

Oh and some wonderful cards and creations from everyone!

Off to work now, chat later,

    Sal

I'm hiding from the shopping gremlins or my oh may kill me lol.

Paddingtondoo was right last night if you put the lace tree folder in the bug sideways it does it without creasing i tried it on pink pearlised paper, pearl card, mirror card and normal card and it worked a treat on them all.

Hope all the little ones are feelinga bit better today

fab card rusty especially after having no sleep.

You don't need to order the autumn ones if you don't want to spend the money as once mine come (whenever that will be) then I can stamp you some? up to you :)
hmmm seems strange he is 2 days behind .. maybe he should pull his finger out lol
Hope Olivers spots clear up, although with chicken pox then have to have scabbed over before they can go back to school (rather than be puss filled so to speak) is that the same with shingles?
I am in agony today still ... I might have to ring the docs back, although I know once the new tablets kick in that they do actually help ease it a lot so not sure if I should just stick with it. I think I have done something else aswell as I actually have back pain now which is horrible, so not sure if that is normal or not, before the pain was just in my leg :(

lol craftygranny, my OH doesn't know ... I think he will kill me ... although he noticed all my stamps on the table the other morning (sat when I was at work) and he never said anything so I think I might be safe ... although I will have to confess about the promarkers!

I tried putting my lace tree in sideways and I still have some creases? although the card was quite thick it was a holographic card from the papermill shop so not sure what I am doing wrong. I will persevere :)

Thanks for the comment on my card :)

Just want to add I am soooooooo proud of my DD she has had 3 wee's on her potty today and no accidents :D:D:D and its only been nearly 3 hours since I took her nappy off (after we dropped tom off at school) I am such a proud mummy today :)

rusty mine answered the door to the postie lol. 3 packs of promarkers although his only comment was how much. Think i better wait a day or 2 before buying anything else. I just bought a huge desk for the basement which is now pink (thanks Kaitlyn) for a new craft room. Only problem is he has to help move it all down there so he'll see how much stuff i really have gulp. Never mind it might help me to use it up.

Whoo hoo rusty she is a clever girl . My daughter is just potty training carly she's 2 and she said thank god for laminate flooring cos it's just like having a puppy. lol

Rusty - beautiful card - I love the orange tones. I hope you get some relief from your back soon.

Rainmac - I wish I could come and stay - I could do with someone to organise me!!!

My son has been saying for the past two months that Elliot will be born on the 10th July - so we'll see in a few days!! The past few months seem to have flown past!!

I've just discovered that not only did I miss Paul Weller at the weekend, but Roger Daltry was also on stage with him. :(

So I am definitely going to treat myself now! I can't find the Martha Stewart punch that I want (doily lace), so am thinking of getting the scallop dot one instead... and a set of nesties. :o I think I'll start with the scallop circles - but should I be getting the small or the large ones?

Rusty - lovely card; sorry to hear you're in so much pain. :( At least Maddison is putting a smile on your face and making things easier for you! x
some people grin and bear it, others smile and do it :)
