louby hope you have had good news
well done melissa for tackling your boys' bedroom. my eldest has a small room but it is SO untidy. the youngest keeps his quite tidy.
I too have tried to teach my children to be well behaved especially in public. they often get complimented on their behaviour and all the elderly people at church think the world of them!!! it is so nice to hear isn't it when people say haw well behaved they are...even if my two are little devils at home!saving for ds2's summer international scout camp - £200

Melissa I love the ATC you sent me!! :j
You're a natural with ATCs judging by that one!
I've just realised we have a little boy's birthday party this afternoon so I need to get cracking and make a card for him. Babysitter here for 2hrs so I plan to spend 2 lovely hours palying with my stash.
I've posted on my blog about a Bargain Box of cardmaking stuff I bought. Pictures and summary here: http://justbecauseitmakesmesmile.blogspot.com/
As can be expected there was stuff in there that I don't really want so if anyone wants to do a swap with some handmade/mulberry paper pop along to CP and take a look: http://craftyplace.yuku.com/topic/147
Would love to see what you got but the pictures aren't working0 -
Melissa & bunbun - Well done to you both, too, for having well behaved children - it's so good to hear. I'm sorry to say, my great nephew is a holy terror allowed to get away with murder, even in public! I once, cautiously & bravely, suggested that reins would be a good idea as we walked along a busy road & was told by "He doesn't like them"
He was only 2!
Flourgirl - Yes, you should go & get seen by your Dr asap. Wonder, if it's trapped nerve if a physio might be able to help?0 -
I would like to add my congratulations to Rainmac for her fab magazine spread too! :T:T:T
You're on a roll so why not (in an mse way!) try lots of magazines? Some give fantastic prizes, even money for 'Star Letters', etc. - you're certainly talented enough.
(I've had letters published before but only in 'Fab 208' and 'Starsky & Hutch Fanclub Magazine'Waaaaaay back in time! :rotfl:)
I don't want to make money, I just want to be wonderfulMarilyn Monroe0 -

I can - I couldn't earlier but then again I couldn't see my own photos either :rotfl:.
Where did you get the bumper box from?Officially a non-smoker but still rounder than recommended

Mrs. Tidge - sounds like a clever idea taking it in turns to babysit with your friend.
Don't get me wrong my kids can be little horrors sometimes, but on the whole they are great. I think it makes a difference how the parents speak to their kids in the first place. My s-i-l swears at her kids all the time, and of course in return they give her cheek.
Bunbun/Rainmac - I'm quite pleased with the results in my kids' bedroom. As soon as my youngest got back from school he was excited because he could find toys that he hadn't seen for ages, of course he's tipped them all over the floor.0 -
