Big thank you to everyone, I've only made the letters page so not exactly famous but I'm chuffed:wave: If you want the rainbow, you've got to put up with the rain :wave:0

Rainmac - I love the Thank You stamp. I've been after a really nice Thank You and that one has got my name on it!
Right - must do some work..... and see if I can avoid the smarmy comments about being the oldest one in my team from tomorrow!0 -
Emma - Your cards are fabulous - even if I sat here another 3 nights I wont reach your standard!
Rainmac - Oh dear! more stamps to make me want to be able to stamp! I can never get a crisp image like that They look fantastic!!
Mrstidge - Does life begin tomorrow?0 -
Marg - I wish! It began 3 years ago in that sense - although my 6 year old is well trained to tell everyone I'm 21!!
Right - back to work - I can read but not easily post so have disappeared to a differnet pc and someone might notice soon!
Have a great day everyone.0 -

Marg, I tried stamping several years ago and was useless at it but that was using traditional wooden rubber stamps. I have recently tried again with clear stamps mounted onto an acrylic block and had much better success, don't know why that is? If you want the rainbow, you've got to put up with the rain :wave:0 -

I'm the same - I'm rubbish with wooden stamps (which has put me off buying any Forever Friends ones). I find stamping with clear stamps on an acrylic block much easier, and using the Quickutz rockers is easier again.
I think the best tip I ever read though, was to put the ink to the stamp, not the stamp to the ink.some people grin and bear it, others smile and do it0 -
Dawnteabag - I've recently had problems with my son's school too, its so hard 'cos you never know who they're going to mix with!! Hopefully your son will return to his old behaviour now!
Rainmac - those stamps are gorgeous!!0 -
npsmama - I can now see the pics of your bumper box on your blog - looks like you got some fab stuff there.
Dawnteabag - lovely cards - my favourite is the baby boy one (of course), those nappy pins look so cute.
Paddintondoo - I like those Mackintosh stamps - they're very different!!
Emma - your symathy card is just right - the flower looks really pretty. I have never made a sympathy card before! Your other cards are gorgeous too - I love that giraffe stamp that you've used.0 -
Louby lou lou Great card. Hope you're ok & that you get good news soon, hugs to you too.x
Flourgirl Hope your shoulder is feeling better today. I know exactly how you feel. My shoulders & neck regularly seize up; the muscles go into spasm & it means I can't turn my head & I get a shooting pain down my arm & a tingly hand! I have been to the doctors countless times over the last few years but they have been no help! I've just recently been to see the physio so hopefully he'll be able to get it sorted. I've been off work all this week with it. Like rainmac I use a hotwater bottle & ibuprofen gel & paracetamol. Freeze spray also seems to work when it is really bad.
Thankfully mine seems alot better today, I might even have a walk up to my Mams & make some cards this afternoon!
Rainmac Well done for getting your cards into a magazine, they look fab, I bet you are really proud of yourself, I would be! :j
I love your new stamps especially the butterfly one! I really must learn how to stamp!
Padingtondoo Those Mackintosh stamps look lovely. I'll look forward to seeing how you use them on your cards
I've left comments on blogs for the people that have added new cards. They are all lovely as usual. x0 -
For anyone having probs with stamping there's a stamping hints section on CP.
When I'm stamping I use an upside down mouse mat - the foam type ones - covered with an old bit of scrap paper.
Ink it and wipe away any ink from the edges of the backing rubber with a cotton bud (when I remember).
Grip it firmly in both hands and either rest my elbows on the table or stand directly over it and press it straight down on the card or whatever - I take no credit for this I picked it up at a craft show - I still have problems with some of them though .Officially a non-smoker but still rounder than recommended
