I bought some double sided tape from rymans at the week end. now I am sure it is supposed to be sticky on both sides - this doesn't seem to be
I was all set to make loads of cards today and had to abandon the plan:mad:
I apologise with regard to the thanking issue. I usually read posts briefly and quickly and intend to thank posts later. when i go back there are pages!! I do try and read back and comment and when i do that I thank all the posts...I really will try harder!

Here's my card for the sketch challenge, had a lovely time making it last night. It seemed to take ages as I couldn't decide on papers to use and where exactly to stitch the flourish, whether I needed to add any flowers - decided not to but not sure if I should in the top left corner?...
I bought the image from Poppycraft, Rusty shall I send it to you? Also bought the space boy one.
Rainmac Gorgeous card, cute image it reminds me of a St Trinians girl, must be the pigtails and the hat. I love how you have stitched the flourish, I don't think it needs a flower otherwise you would loose the effect of the stitching.:T

Gorgeous card, so different, I love the muted shades of the paper and the embossing on your image is perfect. :T0 -
I have a sewing machine, had it about 5 years, only used it a few times as it's a b***er to thread and wonderweb is quicker & easier! It's a 'Silver' viscount & cost about £200.00 & like Rusty's is a dust catcher in the spare room.
I only got it because the good one I inherited from my Mum siezed up beyond repair through my lack of use. My, how Mum'd laugh if she knew I was doing crafty things......she was brilliant at stuff like that.....
Must go..... I'm supposed to be doing the VAT:eek:

I just want to say a massive thank you to Craftygranny your parcel was waiting for me when I go home from work I was so over-whelmed I had tears in my eyes, after being told in work that me and 4 others in my team are having a pay-cut due to the current climate that cheered me up no-end, I really am so grateful and want to thank you so so much, the card was gorgeous! I'll post some pics of my stash soon! Well I'll be at the elections from 6am to 10pm 2morrow! :-(!:xmassmile Looking forward to December:xmassmile0 -

Shock horror I have done the card challenge from the sketch!!
I made a card for my friend who has an appeal hearing tomorrow morning as her son didn't get into any of the secondary schools they wanted. She has to do a talk to a panel of people and is really nervous. I decided to be slightly different and I turned the image on the side as I wanted the ribbon horizontal so I could hang the little charm.
The charm says 'dreams do come true' and inside it says 'I believe in you'.
Hope that is ok like Rainmac I left mine really simple and was also wondering if I should have added a flower but it is too late she has the card already!!0 -
Jailhb thank you for your comments the image is from a pad of atc collection "oriental" by memories in the making0
