Hi Rainmac, Love your sewn flourishes on your challenge card. Can you tell me what type of sewing machine you use? I would like to get a basic sewing machine to use for crafting and don't know where to start, what to look for, etc. Ideally I would like to sew some simple clothes too. Any suggestions?I don't want to make money, I just want to be wonderfulMarilyn Monroe0

Sorry I didn't explain what I did very well, the flourishes are hand sewn after using a stitching template to make holes in the paper (I used a pricking tool). I used this template for the pink card... http://www.theglitterpot.co.uk/scripts/prodView.asp?idproduct=8528. Hope that makes sense, please shout if it doesn't:wave: If you want the rainbow, you've got to put up with the rain :wave:0 -
Rusty, images on their way to you! I love your summer card on Crafty Place, the weather here today is very overcast, not putting me in a summery thinking mood so may have to try my extra Father's Day card today instead.
Recieved and replied to the email, thanking you xxRaising kids is like being held hostage by midget terrorists0 -

Lovely card OAP, the image is so cute - can I be cheeky and ask where it's from?
I popped into Hobbycraft while out this morning - they have a kit with the crop-a-dile reduced to £16.99. It comes with lots of eyelets in lots of colours, and several grommets. They're selling the crop-a-dile on its own for about £10 more! They also had the Whispers caddy (36 pens) reduced to £19.99.some people grin and bear it, others smile and do it0 -
Thanks for the info about the flowers - poppicrafts P&P put me off a bit for something that I might not use very often.
Got brads, eyelets and buttons from the eBay seller that I posted the other day - look ok have yet to use them though.
I have a sewing machine think it's a frister rossman (sp) or something like that - I've had it for about 25 years. I bought it with money my nan left her in her will as she was a seamstress - never had any problems with it, it's not all singing all dancing but still does what I need. Cost about £100 back then from memory.
Great cards everyone - was planning on doing some crafty stuff today but haven't got round to it and am at a friends for tea tonight but I have ironed dusted and hooveredOfficially a non-smoker but still rounder than recommended
