Making cards - Ideas for a card craft beginner (part 2)

Good evening!
Well hopefully you can see my first attempt at iris folding. I used various colours of pearlescent paper from hobby craft, I like the way they glisten. Am currently looking for a cheaper option as this is 45p/A4 sheet, but it was very good quality double sided.
Im thinking of adding Christmas carol lines relating to Joy, Christmas trees and stars on the relevant cards, with a greeting to match inside, ie, star (inside: hope all your wished come true this Christmas...)
Card making is sooo MSE, worked out at 80p/card, i would usually spend £2-3 for a good quality handmade card for my close relatives!
(photos are a little blurred and waiting for santa to deliver a new camera!)0 -

Green Love your cards
Tea bag folding is good I have done a few of those and I really like the look of the new cut out teabags I might have a go at one of those
Ikkle .... have agood site somewhere in my favourites for teabag tiles I will hunt it out for you if you want
Green ...its hard to make money with card making ...do it because you love it ...if you make a few bob all the better
Ive been making cards now for about 4 years and this christmas is probably the first year I will make anything on it.
Its easy to think "this card as cost 25p if I sell fr 75p thats 50p profit" but what did you spend in orginal supplies and how many cards at 75p do you need to sell to get your original cost back...its not easyIf you look anything like your passport photo....Your too ill to travel0 -
Hi
I just wanted to say 'I'm sorry' if I've caused any disruption to all you lovely cardmakers by starting a new thread and the other one being closed. I didn't do it to upset / offend anyone. As I said before it was only because you all seemed to be so good that I asked the question as a complete novice.
Once again

Sorry to jump in on this thread but, Pink_winged, There is a papermill up at Junction one where you can get cardstock to make your cards... If you are in Belfast there is a shop called Forgetmenot Papercrafts which sells packs of cards (different shapes/sizes/colours - also various qualities depending on your project and therefore prices) and also sells sheets of A4 card for 10p per sheet, which is good value if you cant make it to Junction one.tying hard to cut down grocery shop bill...0
