A lovely new shiny thread! I followed the old thread with interest and seeing your cards, felt inspired to start making my own so I'd love to join you all in this new thread.
abusybee, your cards are lovely!
Can I ask where you all buy your blank cards? A friend from MSE recommended this site: www.pdsarts.com The cards look good, but their postal charges to where I live (NI) are silly. Any recommendations would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Pink0 -

Welcome back Maggie bob. How is the little job at onestop going? Keeping you busy I bet. Well I have been busy again. Someone I know has just had a baby boy so I had to make a card for her and while I was at it I made one for my mum to send. My favorite is the one with the three transport stamps on.:heart2::rotfl: :rotfl: :heart2:I LOVE A BARGIN:heart2: :rotfl: :rotfl:TIME TO START SHOPPING FOR NEXT CHRISTMAS:dance: I LOVE THE SALES!!!!!:dance:0 -

I tend to buy packs of card from my local newsagent, it is a decent thickness, and I make my own as it works out alot cheaper. I get my envelopes from places like instore so it works out about £3 for upto 80 cards C6 size or £3 for 40 cards C5. I have seen the cards at PDS but I dont know what the quality is like. I also get the odd packet of pre-made cards from poundshops or home bargins. Hope this helps.:heart2::rotfl: :rotfl: :heart2:I LOVE A BARGIN:heart2: :rotfl: :rotfl:TIME TO START SHOPPING FOR NEXT CHRISTMAS:dance: I LOVE THE SALES!!!!!:dance:0 -

I buy alot of card stock now from http://www.payperbox.co.uk/ but they rarley have white card I get that from Staples its about £5 for 50 sheets
ArtyMiss hav a sale on right now and PP is about £3.50 you might have to check for NI I have ordered from PDS and the cards are good and you can get alot of variety but they are slow in delivery and alittle expensive
Do you have a shop call The Works anywhere near you they were selling 2 packs of 50 cards for £8. I think the shop called The Stationary Box also do them at that price as well. They come in plain cream, white and pastel mix
Yes the Crafters Companion is as good as it looks
BusyBee they are so lovely well doneIf you look anything like your passport photo....Your too ill to travel0 -
In Debt: I understand what you mean, after making some today on just plain one fold cards, I can see how using double sided tape to stick them on the front would work well. Thank you
ikkle87: thank you, I have printed off my first patterns from this site, a star and a tree, they turned out brilliant. I will photo them and post them on here if anyone would like to see.
abusybee: I do have a homebargins in my local town centre, will have to have a look tomorrow, wouldn't have considered there for craft supplies. Cheapest I have found are £1.99 for 5 in hobbycrafts so will have to rummage homebargins.
Thank you for all you help money savers!
My cards this christmas are going to look stunning, might even try and sell a few to friends and family to raise some much needed funds!0 -
