The Bookatrix score board might be a wise purchase for you, rainmac, as you would only need to sell a few to get your money back nad your cards are always lovely. I didn't realise how much they sell for but I am sure there's lots of work in them besides all the embellies as well. I'm sure you would be able to resell it after you'd finished with it.

You've pushed me over the line I've been dithering on all week The Wife, going to order it NOW :D

Marg you never saw my star wars card :rotfl: It was a disaster and my DD (22 months old) could have done a better job ;)

Rainmac I can have a look in the local craft shop for you if you want?

Rainmac Rusty..do you want me to do some pre cut ones for you? I dont mind honestly
Just let me know what colours how many layers or I can do one set in thick card you can use as a template
I also curve the pages slightly to make it look more like a book and layer the ribbon under the first layer you can see what I mean here better than me trying to explain. Then I mount it on a flat piece of card and stick a small card ( landscape) on the back to mak a stand. Hope that all maes sense http://s333.photobucket.com/albums/m373/SaveaPenny/cards/?action=view&current=DSCF0109.jpg

Hubby got all clear today...Kidney stones have gone, we thought he had to have another treatment
    1 down 2 to go...roll all all clear I need a holiday...lol
If you look anything like your passport photo....Your too ill to travel

Hi girls , fab cards i love the animal ones. Where did you buy the templates from if you don't mind me asking .

Go on rainmac buy the bookatrix you know you need one lol. I have one but only used it to practice on scrap bits so far cos i think i'll do it wrong .

Rusty there is absolutely nothing wrong with your cards . I think all of us are never entirely happy with what we do. Don't be so hard on yourself hun.

Melissa glad everything is going really well with the baby.

I will get around to doing myself a blog soon

So pleased your OH has the all clear saveapenny :T Just you to sort out now ;)

Thank you so much for the offer but I've taken the plunge and ordered a bookatrix, you knew I would ;). My next query is what kind of card do you use, thickness etc? Do you use anything on the card like soap to help see where to emboss? (saw someone do this on utube). Forgot to say, what do you do about boxes, make or buy? Sorry, too many questions!!!

Posted a couple of new cards on my blog...more Basic Grey ones, sorry I just adore the designs... http://rainmacsplace.blogspot.com/

flourgirl, please can I ask for the link to the black & white background paper you used on your recent card, I love it and it will go really well with the art deco decoupage figures I've just bought. I've managed NOT to cut anyones head off yet.
