Thank you for all your well wishes for my son, every day he is getting better and im sure he will be running round very soon. I think he thought the idea of havig 2 weeks off and then the easter holidays was great, but he is realising that days are very long and you can only play games/watch tv dvds so much until you get bored. We have made cookies/cakes/cheese scones/quiche great for my oh but not great for my diet  .

Hope everyone is well and doing well. Thought I would let you all know about the bargain I got yesterday, went into my Gan's local charity shop and got two handmade albums, that are full with over 20 sheets of handmade paper in alsorts of designs. £1 each!!!

I think I will take the papers out though and use them for my cards and then if I ever get round to scrapbooking I can put it altogether in the albums as they are only tied together with some thin rope.

  • Hello Ladies, some lovely cards there!
I'm sorry to hear about the weight gain, but it is very small and I'm sure you'll be back on form soon. I lost 2stone with slimming world a couple of years ago, but during the following year put on half again and now since breaking up with my boyf I'v put on another half stone in six weeks!! I need a right kick up the behind to shift it! Contemplating going back to SW but the £5 a week is putting me off.

Sorry- that was way off topic!
I haven't had a chance to make any cards this week as I haev been making party decorations, i'll post a pic of them somewhere when they are up.

minimacka- glad to hear your boy is on the mend,

That sounds a lovely idea saveapenny- you had better get going on your nappy cake empire! lol!

    Great find s_michaels!

    xx

  • They are lovely saveapenny! I love the Pennyblack hedgehogs!
I wish I had a craft room, I have to sit on the floor of my tiny bedroom, everything is squeezed under the bed and in boxes on the floor- looks such a tip! lol!

just popping in to say that Marie Curie cancer charity sell a daffodil stamp.
It's £4.99 (£2.50 goes to the charity) and it's one of the most beautiful stamps I have! here's a picture of it (though I paid £4.99 for mine so I don't know if I got ripped off - I hope the charity get the full £2.50!): http://ecreations.co.uk/endpoint.asp?id=048721394541

the charity are running a campaign: http://www.create-a-card-for-cancer-care.org/ where you can send in a card that they will then sell to raise funds.

    Also more info at http://www.docrafts.co.uk/asp/articles/?page=261

    Happy crafting!

    Hiya!
back again, have had my head down trying to get the company's acounts ready for the auditors.

Thank you so much for the warm welcome and I'll try and get some cards posted on here so that you can see what I do. If anyone loves Pink Petticoat papers, head on over to UK Scrappers www.ukscrappers.co.uk and check out the Pink Petticoat thread in cardmaking/stash central. I buy all the new releases as, like most people, I've got loads of paper packs where I've used a few pages and left the rest. Worst buy recently was Laura Ashley, I was so sure I would use all of the papers in this pack but so far, two. Oh well, serve me right 'cos I went and bought the brads too, in a sale, mind you I didn't pay full price.
I am in a card exchange with some friends in the US and our theme for April is either flowers or fairies. Flowers I can do but not sure about fairies and me with five grandaughters!! :D

Thanks too for all the tips on blogging, just might give it a try.
