Hello:hello: I've been here, kept checking but nobody around. Thought it would be quiet on Sunday being Mothers Day, but not Monday & yesterday:confused:
Checked in blogland but not many there either.

Well, I'm off to slimming in a bit, don't know why, may as well throw a fiver into the wind this week:eek:

I need to make a few mens cards later as I sold some on Monday. I hate making mens cards, never know what to do

Have a good day Flourgirl - I'm stuck at work with nothing to do, and wishing I was at home making cards! I know what you mean about men's cards they are a pain to do, and most don't appreciate the work gone into them.
2016 is the year I am going to find time for me, and cherish the time I spend with my friends and family.
It is also time to save - Aim £4,000 - So far this year - £230/£4,000

Hello - I've been here every day too - I'm ashamed to say I gave up on the 60th male card I had to do & bought one - I hope you all don't mind:o .
I tried the challenge card & it looked a mess & I couldn't give it to anyone, so didn't like to show. Still not sorted a blog but on current performance I wouldn't have anything to show anyway, need to start Easter cards........
    CT19720 - wish I had a job like yours!!!:rotfl:

The nature of my job is on a 4 year cycle, which means that for 2 years I am flat out, and for the other 2 years I sit here doing nothing. I know I should be grateful I have a job and get paid very well for not doing a lot, but after 8 years its not fun anymore, having nothing to do and getting paid. There is so many things I could be doing at home:D . I only work part time, but coming in for 5 hours 4 days a week, and usually being the only one in - only 2 of us in the office anyway, can be a bit disheartening. Hence I spend most of my time on MSE:rotfl: :rotfl:

Marg at least you gave the 60th birthday card a go before you bought one. Men's cards are difficult at the best of time without trying to do a 'special one'. I'll find out next week whether my Uncle liked his barn dance one that a made a couple of weeks ago. I hope he does.

Here is a card I made for my DH's friend who was turning 52, I too find males difficult to make for but tried to keep this manly, I hope it worked.http://i189.photobucket.com/albums/z134/colourcue/my%20creations/P1010001-1.jpg

and the Mothering Sundae idea that shamelessly stole from someone on this forum, many thanks for the ideahttp://i189.photobucket.com/albums/z134/colourcue/my%20creations/P1010005.jpg

Went to slimming this morning, I had gained 1/2lb :-( so having just been to tescos I am sitting here with a cup of tea and a packet of Blue Ribands, only 99 calories each, trouble is there are 9 in the packet :rotfl:

Called at Stephen Smiths on the way home to look at the craft stuff, need things for mens cards, didn't buy anything as the prices seem astronomical  I think it's cheaper to buy online and pay the postage.

Great cards sheginch,:T I made a mothers day card similar to yours with the ice cream images from Pink Petticoat.

CT19720 The barn dance card you made was fantastic:T I was just thinking about copying that idea from you. How did you resize Wordle? Once I have that cracked I think it will be very useful for any man cards. Was thinking makes of cars, football teams or players, golf, musical instruments etc. What do you think?

Marg Hope you have better luck with your easter cards, there are a few easter paper downloads free on this site, might be of some use to you

Scroll down nearly to the bottom of the page, there are some mens papers on there too
