I hope it's okay to show this in here as it's not a card but I did use cardmaking supplies and I just wanted to show how I used my pink crop a dile(which I just love.)
I made it as a thank you for a very kind lady who sent me loads of papers and card and embellishments.

It's just paper flowers sandwiched between acetate sheets crop a diled all round the edges and then crochet. The bag handles are just new car washer pipe. That's just a keyring dangling on the right hand side. I moved it so you could see the bag.
    I hope you like it.

I use vellum sometimes on my cards either for matting and layering or just as an accent. Its looks good if you tear a piece off and fix that to your card. The only problem with it is that because its see-through sometimes you can see the adhesive that you've used to stick it down. I use glue dots or brads, or I'll put an embellishment like a flower on the top of it and then glue the vellum in place under the embellishment so that nothing shows through.

That's great advice! I don't have any brads but will try layering with embellishments this weekend, thank you!!

I use velum mainly for wraps

Sorry if I soud really dumb but what are wraps?

That bag is so cool, where do you get your acetate sheets from? are they lots thicker than over head projector sheets?

Soblivion - that is fantastic - you are so clever and inventive. I would never be able to make something like that. I'm expecting delivery of a big bite soon, so I hope I'll be able to put that to good use. I love the handles - they look really hard to attach.

Crazychatter - wraps is when you cut the vellum to the size of your card blank (that is when its opened not when its folded), then you fold the vellum in half and use it as a wrap to cover the front and back of the card - does that make sense?? You could hold it in place by tieing a piece of ribbon aroud the spine of the card.

Hamish222 - hope you find your inspiration soon - I always have that problem!

Tigzem - good luck with the move.

  • Lovely bag soblivion. I'm wondering how easy the idea would be to adapt to a gift box/trinket box? Not that I could ever do it!

Great card bunbun, I'm sure the recipient will adore it :)

    A couple of questions:
My parents bought me a Purple Cows Creative Cutter from Aldi but I'm having trouble figuring out how to use it. Am I just being thick? Any tips gratefully received :)
And... ArtyMiss are selling this QuicKutz Squeeze Handtool for £19.99. DD was asking if I want anything specific for Mother's Day - should I ask her for this? Is it any good? Can I use it for anything else?

    TIA x
