Making cards - Ideas for a card craft beginner (part 2)

Furrypig - it was a stamped image from a site called pink petticoat, they do loads of cute downloads. I coloured it in using the whispers markers, they work well on small areas but mine look rubbish when I use them on big areas. I thought I would have trouble doing the challenge card, but once I got started it was easy.

Jailhousebabe - I know what you mean about the basic grey pads - its a shame you only get two of each sheets.

Soblivion - sounds like heaven!

Ive just been looking and found this freebie at docrafts scroll down to the bottom of the page, there is also some free papers to download too if anyone is interested, ive downloaded it thought i might have a go. They look really cute.

Thanks all..its good to be back...Im all catched up now and what can I say but WOW ...The cards are fantastic you have all pulled out all the stops for this challenge
I hope you forgive me for not mentioning each one seperatly I would be here all day...lol they are all fantastic

MM...I made a christening card just with a cute image on a plaque with a ribbon bow at the bottom and used little letters hanging off like charms.
Ive still got loads left I can check to see if I have enought to spell the babies name if you like and then send them to you

A women I know from Canada as sent me a fantastic program for making decoupage out of any image. Ive not had a huge play yet and stiull getting to grips with it but if anyone wants something making I would love to have a go at it for you

Thanks Saveapenny, his names Archie, he is a proper bruiser too, gorgous with it though, many thanks for the offer, do you have a piccy of it. I really want to make him a card but i am struggling as to what to put on it . Ive got less than 2 weeks to think and make it aswell.

I dont have a piccie of that one it as a rush job...My son turned up one sunday and said " do we need to take a card to a christening" so I had 1/2 hour to make one but it turned out realy nice
I think I used a twisted pyramid of eyore because it was mainly blue. You can find it in the Disney section. I mounted it on a oval plaque and edged that with some swiggly line peel offs and then mounted that on the card with foam pads. I threaded the letters on the ribbon then made a bow.
I then printed off the name and date and I think the name of the church for the front
I will go and have a look now and let you know if I have the letters for Archie

Just checked and the ones I was thinking about I have no R ...I found some others and made the name up on a wire with beads but my camera is dead
I will take a picure as soon as its powered up and if you like it I will send it off

Thanks for that, minimacka I have printed them off and made a card this afternoon. It was just what I needed for a card for a little girl.
I won't post a photo until you have done yours (don't want to steel your glory):rotfl:

saveapenny - thats lovely I will have a look for some of them beads. :j I have downloaded some peter rabbit images so i might use them in aswell.

flourgirl - please post your card ive only just downloaded the papers and it will probably be a while before i get to do mine.
