Making cards - Ideas for a card craft beginner (part 2)

Sorry I haven't replied earlier - had to sort dinner and the kids out.

I'll fess up! The letters used for 'Callum' are papermania sticker letters - AlphaMania Curly Font black and they were £1.99 a pack and were from Paper Mill, when I went at the weekend - these were from the one at Gun Wharf Quays, as the other one at Whiteley didn't have them. I love the font too, so loads of other cards that I make this year will somehow incorporate them! They also sold them in powder pink, and baby blue, but I thought that the black ones would be more versitile. Glad you all like them .

Marg - I took the Man U logo from their website, I have just done the same thing with the Arsenal one for you, so if you pm me you email address I'll send it across to you - the only thing is that I couldn't increase the size of the logo without distorting the the logo - maybe you would manage it.

I tried to get a similar text for 'Happy 10th Birthday' off the pc, and in the end used Cheri.

Crazychatter - the only thing I know about Glastonbury, is that then have loads of good pubs - before I had my 2 children a large group of us used to go camping at a farm just under the Glastonbury Tor 2-3 times a year, and would spend all day/night researching all the local pubs:rotfl: :rotfl: - oh what happy days they were.

Does anyone know what type pens I need for colouring my art work in for cards. Also what inks do people use, I do not have the money for anything just yet but hoping to spare some soon.

Marg...I did this one for a friends birthday
I used http://www.wordle.net/create to make the backing paper which as all the team names on, then decoupaged the badge myself
If you want I can find a good image and make you a sheet?

Wordle...Just type in any word onto the screen then hit go, the more times you type the same word the bigger it gets which is great for making papers. The more words you put in the better the results. once you hit the go button it takes you to where you can alter the colour, font and how the words appear.

I think the fairy as been pinching flowers from the next door neighbours garden

If you go to Misc on the main page there is backing paper and a border
Its printed ok but the colour of the ted and football looks a bit green on photobucket but if you like it and can use it try altering the colour. If that doesnt work I will re do it
